Wow, that's pretty awful. I was at the Sunday show, about midway back, and the crowd was pretty well behaved. But the 9:30 seems to attract some wackos--I was at a Suede show a few years back and I could swear a guy there was TRYING to hurt the smallish women standing nearby. He was constantly throwing elbows and kicking out around him.

Sorry I wasn't there Monday to help you out--I'm a man and a fair bit bigger than 5'4".
