The @#!!!e that was the opening act

We're not sure who was responsible for the vile opening act, but we'd like to think that some heads rolled shortly after the band walked out on stage. For even then, we knew (as did the entire crowd, it seemed) that those two singers needed some slapping. "We're sisters!!! Betcha didn't know that!" Who gives a @#!!!? I'll tell you.....nobody. They sucked ass for four or five godawfull songs that met with increasing boos and cat calls. Lets be honest, I would have rather seen BLink 182 open up for Moz. It's not just that the music was bad. Those singers were shaking their bon-bons like they were auditioning for a role in "Striptease." I was tempted to yell, "Take off your tops!" Somebody actually did yell, "You suck!" I've never seen a crowd so motionless during a musical act. There was more dancing during the set change.

Morrissey on the other hand was his normal brilliant self...even more so considering the mess he had to pick up after that rancid opening act. I'm shocked that he managed to restrain himself from commenting. His new rendition of Now My Heart Is Full is show stopping. Meat Is Murder was also fun for the whole family. I Can Have Both was also a welcome surprise addition to the set. We are looking forward to seeing him again in LA in March. But readers beware, if the pointer sisters continue to support him throughout the second leg of the tour, your ears will bleed and your soul will beg for mercy.
