Couldn't have said it better mate. There were the single worst band i have ever seen. I think if they could have gotten my middle school band teacher to fill in on lead it could of rounded out the image and the sound. I am sorry, but that was just piss poor. Put some soul into your songs mate, espeacially when your perform with such a legend.
and one last thing, no respectable bass player plays a 5 string bass, and was it really necessary to have it for one song. That bass probably cost 500$, which is 500$ that you could have spent to pay someone to write a better song for you.
