Opening act: Hawksley Workman

Yes, I have checked the Hawksley Workman site, and Hawksley is indeed opening for Morrissey on February 16.

If you don't already know, Hawksley is an -amazing- performer and songwriter and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing him again. A couple of friends and I got to see Hawksley live at the Rivoli in Toronto and it was probably the best show I have seen in such an intimate setting. We even ended up sitting next to his mom during the gig and she was very kind to us. I wonder how his act will translate to a venue as big as Hamilton Place.

Actually, I knew that he was in town Wednesday night (he's playing at the Mermaid's Lounge in Hess Village later on), but obviously I won't be able to attend that gig since I'm going to see Morrissey.
That is so groooooovy that we get to see him before Morrissey too!

P.S. You all have to promise me to be quiet while Hawksley is on. Or I'll kick your ass. (winkwink)
