In Response To: Re: Now My Life is Full (Troubled Joe)

He said near the start something like, "Thanks for coming out on such a miserable night, I'm sure you'll....regret it".

The "He's my son, he's adopted" comment was definitely in response to someone who 'surfed' from the crowd towards the front but couldn't get on stage. Morrissey went over to shake his hand before the person was hauled away by the bouncers and then he said the comment.

The one person to actually get on stage was later on, during Meat Is Murder. He seemed to run from the side of the stage behind the speakers, rather than climb up from the crowd. I was in the front row and the bouncers were all looking at each other saying something like "Where the hell did he come from?"

Also, during Meat Is Murder, some bloke 'surfed' from way back, and ended up in the pit at the centre of the stage, surrounded by bouncers. Instead of giving up, the guy refused to budge, and ended up having his arms up his back and face on the floor. As he was being dragged stage left, he wrestled free and started picking a fight one of the bouncers, after which he was promptly dragged away again.

Other Morrissey quotes - After 'Swallow On My Neck', he said something like 'I see a lot of surprised faces'. Before 'Is It Really So Strange?', he said something like 'This is for the older people amongst you'.

It was the first time I've been at the front row of a Moz concert. I managed to shake his hand twice, first during 'You're Gonna Need' and then again during 'Roy's Keen'.

The Barras is a great venue - one of the few places that he keeps coming back to (his third concert there). The sound in there is usually excellent, but the left hand speaker went down during 'Alma Matters' and stayed down for a song or two before kicking into life again...
