Compare the 80's thread to this 2000 thread, the gulf in quality music is incredible really, and that's not being nostalgic, was born in 86'. Ask me to compile a list of great 00's songs tho and i wouldnt know where to start but i'll give it a bash.

The Libertines - Can't stand me now
Glasvegas - It's my own cheating heart that makes me cry
    The Strokes - Someday
    The Libertines - Horrorshow
    Babyshambles - Albion
    M.Ward - Poison Cup
    Arctic Monkeys - Cornerstone
The Shins - Turn On Me
The Cribs - Stick to Your Guns
The View - Sour Little Sweetie

to be fair, could've just listed the whole 'Is This It' album or one of the Libertines albums, doesnt get much better than that as far as 2000 music goes IMO
