So decided to make a top 10 by era as I mentioned earlier. It was a fun exercise... as I suspected it was hardest for the 1st era to narrow down to 10. For the other ones, there are some definite top tracks in there, but it was also a case of just trying to find songs I liked. Surprisingly it was 1999-2009 where I didn't have 10 songs to list (had I included covers I might have reached 10 songs). It would have been hard for me to reach 10 songs for the last period without the WPINOYB bonus tracks and the unreleased demos.

Verdict: I'd probably stick with the original career-spanning top 10 list as I think it's more meaningful.

1988-1998

Late Night, Maudlin Street
Break Up the Family
Dial-a-Cliché
I've Changed My Plea to Guilty
... Playboys
The National Front Disco
Seasick, Yet Still Docked
Now My Heart Is Full
Hold On to Your Friends
Why Don't You Find Out for Yourself
(Could have easily added 4-5 more)

1999-2009

Come Back to Camden
First of the Gang to Die
I Like You
The Never-Played Symphonies
Mexico
I'll Never Be Anybody's Hero Now
(I didn't reach 10)

2010-2020

Istanbul
Mountjoy
One of Our Own
Drag the River
Forgive Someone
Julie in the Weeds
By The Time I Get To Wherever I'm Going
Blue Dreamers Eyes
Knockabout World
Once I Saw the River Clean
Nice exercise, I am surprised that My hurling days are done is not in your list; for some reason, I remember you praising it.

Amphabetical order only:

1988 - 1998

Everyday is like Sunday
Have-a-go merchant
Lifeguard sleeping, girl drowning
Now my heart is full
Speedway
Spring-heeled Jim
Such a little thing makes such a big difference
We'll let you know
Whatever happens I love you
Will never marry

1999 - 2009

Irish blood, English heart
It's hard to walk tall when you're small
First of the Gang to Die
Let me kiss you
Life is a pigsty
My dearest love
The Never-Played Symphonies
Something is squeezing my skull
When last I spoke to Carol
You have killed me

2010 - 2020

Art hounds
Bobby, don't you think they know?
I'm not a man
Kick the bride down the aisle
Kiss me a lot
Neal Cassidy drops dead
Once I saw the river clean
One of our own
Smiler with knife
Staircase at the university

Top 10:
Come Back to Camden
Now My Heart Is Full
I'll Never Be Anybody's Hero Now
Break Up The Family
Trouble Loves Me
Yes I Am Blind
Why Don't You Find Out For Yourself
I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday
In The Future When All's Well
I've Changed My Plea To Guilty

Honorable mentions by era:

1999-2009: Life Is A Pigsty; Dear God Please Help Me; The Never-Played Symphonies
2010-2020(more from this era since nothing from it cracked my top 10): My Hurling Days Are Done; Home Is A Question Mark; Blue Dreamers Eyes; Knockabout World; Darling I Hug A Pillow; Julie In the Weeds; Forgive Someone.

I have to agree.
It's only recently that I've discovered the latter, and I like Treat Me Like a Human Being too. Both go well with the overall Viva Hate style and sound very reminiscent of his earlier years (in a good way).
