The Slider, but I only have (and have heard) that, Electric Warrior and Zinc Alloy (an early CD copy, which the sound is incredibly bad on).

Interesting choice. The first two albums are fairly early, the Dandy is quite late in his career.

My favourite period is the middle Electric Warrior/Slider period.

My favourite song is Raw Ramp (which I think was a B side to Get It On or Hot Love)

Dandy indeed was the very last Bolan album before his death. This was around the time when he became interested in punk and had The Damned as his support act. What might have been if he didn't die in that car crash? :tears:

I know Slider & Electric Warrior are his best known albums but it is definetely worth digging out the "T.Rex" and "Beard of Stars" albums - they are beautiful, semi-acoustic, REAL Bolan stuff.

    Just a thought.

Hey EastOfEden - I like the cut of your jib!:o

I do love the early stuff too - I have most of the Tyrannosaurus Rex stuff on vinyl and haven't listened in some time.
    Beard of Stars is fantastic.
Altho' patchier, I like Prophets Seers etc.

I often wonder how things would have gone too...

I'd love to say for sure that he'd come good - but who knows...

Would have been great to see how he developed whatever

    Cheers Velvis!

I think Bolan was a "real" pop star. He had the looks, the style & the tunes.

There is a CD called "The Last Cuts" or something and it has some tracks which were recorded/demoed after "Dandy" album. And they're pretty good. By this stage he had left the "soul" and disco stuff behind him and was making some very catchy pop glam tunes again.

He had the ups & downs (a bit like our Mozza) but overall he was unique. Again, a bit like Morrissey!
