So we are taking the reverse on this one. I love seeing what everyone thought about the best so it will be equally interesting to see what people will think is the worst. I will do the entire Moz list this time. Remember you are ranking the worst song so don't wimp out and say I can't pick one because they are all good. Yes they are all good in varying degrees. So pick the one you like the least. It can be done.

I think their is more unity in this list than any list have seen before. I agree with almost everyone (except the person who picked "The More You Ignore Me.."). If the song was not on my list but on yours then your choose was the next one on my list. Oh, the other track I was surprised by with "At Last I Am Born". Love that track! But not for everyone.

Seasick, Yet Still Docked probably isn't a popular selection but Your Arsenal is an excellent, complete album, so I simply had to choose the song I listen to the least.

Viva Hate - Break up the family
Kill Uncle - Found found found
Your Arsenal - Fatty

Southpaw - Do your best and don't worry
Maladjusted - Papa Jack

Not so for me. Quite a few of my favorites mentioned, actually. Such as dial-a-cliche and You were good in your time, both of whom I would rate among the best on their albums. But that's taste for you.

Suffer Little Children
Meat Is Murder
Cemetry Gates (what's wrong with just turning spellchecker on, FFS?)
Unhappy Birthday

Dial-a-Cliché
The Harsh Truth Of The Camera Eye (but so many to choose from)
We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful (I can't believe so many people have picked Fatty. Philistines!)
Lifeguard Sleeping, Girl Drowning (the worst of an excellent bunch)
Dagenham Dave
Roy's Keen
America Is Not The World
I'll Never Be Anybody's Hero Now
You Were Good In Your Time

I see a lot of people judge songs as "worse" when they are in a style that is unusual, either to them or to the artist. I always loved the song "Golden Lights" and thought it was funny, touching, and I like the arranged vocal harmonies. It's very different but it didn't even stand out enough that I looked to see it was a cover.
I see the same thing with songs like "Harsh Truth of the Camera Eye." I always liked it. The words are strange and funny and it has a nice vocal melody. It's not a long song. I can't think that I'd be in a rush to skip it.
I think doing a different and unusual style is different than the song not being good.

I agree with your realization in theory. That a song done in a style that is not the norm for the artist seems like an easy choice. But look at "Carol.." That song is in a Mexican style and very much not Morrissey at all but it is still very good and made no-ones list. The issue with "Lifeguard..", "Sorrow Will Come.." & "Harsh Truth.." is that they are just not good songs. They are very slow and kind of plod along almost in a boring tone except for "Sorrow.." which is spoken word. Moz has this great thing for melody and it is void on these songs. Those songs remind me of some of the weaker b-side moments like "You've Had Her" & "I'd Love To". Just not very interesting to listen too next to these amazing songs he has created through the years.

viva hate- dial a clicé

kill uncle- found found found

your arsenal- this is a tricky one, such a wonderful album. I just don't like the fact that certain people i know is placed just after national front disco.

vauxhall & I- used to be a sweet boy

southpaw grammar- also a bloody tricky one, one of me favorite moz-albums. So i'll go for the remastered one and choose fantastic bird.

Maladjusted- wide to receive

you are the quarry- lazy dykes

Ringleader- to me your are a work of art, on the streets i ran, in the future when all's well. Such greate B-sides as Ganglord or sweetie pie would have made the album much more interesting, that's my opinion...but then again, i'm not morrissey.

Years of refusal- i'm ok by myself
