Congrats; from the middle of nowhere. Solid effort. Morrissey once again shows that he can just sing about any topic. Great vocals and wonderful b-sides!

In the UK the vinyl is delayed until July 21st.
The hold up is also affecting those who ordered the big bundle boxes.
Nice one. :(

hopefully it sells well. it's been pretty well reviewed and is in my opinion musically better than quarry. if it can reach half its sales numbers I'd be pleased.

Congratulations "Team Morrissey" on your stunning World Peace victory which is equal to Germany's in the Maracana last night. We always thought you had it in youz, but it's great that the evidence is now "out there". It's easily equal to anything by that band from long ago and far away.

We regret that 'certain people' jinxed Morricone producing the entire song-suite of "Ringleaders Of The Tormentors" but we were too tied up in other intrigues & dramas in Mamma Roma to intervene. Maybe he'll do a Director's Cut? We'll ask around. He's playing gigs in the UK so there may be a chance for *someone* to have a chat in fluent Italian.

As for promo & publicity if/when "Morrissey" re-emerges, we've signalled "Raising Sand" by Robert Plant/Alison Kraus as the template, but actually, Ludovico Einaudi's "In A Time Lapse" is even more apposite. The soundscape of WPINOYB is perfectly suited for subliminal transmission effect during forthcoming sports/drama etc. The Sigur Ros route to ubiquity! LOL!

Now that "BrummieBoy" has lifted the fatwa on "Morrissey" over the "David Banda is handbag material" bitch-mis-speak situation, we hope that "Morrissey" focuses on uplifting himself and everyone else by focussing on what's important: the music, words, playing and production on this extraordinary new album. OR you can all keep banging your heads against the tour bus door until you realise that Less Is More and the only real viral campaign is slow-burn word of mouth. Sort out the spat with KY, she's not responsible for anyone else's faux-pas either. Get her on backing vox for the next gigs, that should get rid of most of the trouble-maker 'fan-atics' and allow the genuine Audience to emerge.

f*** record companies. f*** fickle journalists. They're on board now only because the real 'movers'n'shakers' green-lighted this project on the N & W London dinner party circuit. f*** The Social Media (we only appear live on it to destroy it, etc). And, of course, Fcuk Morrissey Solo. com. Now, that last remark should get me a few "new-attempt-to-game-this-site Thumbs Up" from The 3 Mental Patients, *rollseyes*, because: Herd Culture Opinion Is None Of My Business. Full review laters, if time allows, but LOTS of mad sex situations at the moment so must rest up.

Track sequence is TOTALLY WRONG! LOL! What's wrong with you "Morrissey", putting the best track last like it's a treasure hunt. HSIN redux...A CD is only ever an Artist-Curated Playlist, so here's the first LP side of the "correct" running order for the playlist as ordained by "DJ BrummieBoy":

Side 1:

Art-Hounds [5:07]

The Bullfighter Dies [2:04]

Neal Cassidy Drops Dead [4:05]

Istanbul [4:42]

Kiss Me A Lot [4:04]

Review:

"Art-Hounds" erupts and in 5 minutes, "Morrissey" demolishes the entire online Babel of The Social Media, Fan-dom, Fan-fiction, Status Anxiety dinner parties, social climbing arrivistes swarming like files on shit, like moths to the flame of Outsider Art, not realising they are blind, deaf and led like sheepish 'crass consumers' to the slaughter-altar of Bread and Circus culture during Empire's Collapse...."

With every good wish
Yours in indifferent solidarity and celebration

I just listened to the album for the first time. Lyrically, Morrissey is in top form, but mostly I'm blown away by the music. They sound like a complete different band. I especially like the accordion. I haven't read the liner notes yet. Is Michael Farrell back in the band?

Well, I've done my bit.

Deluxe CD and ltd edition 10" purchased from HMV, digital version purchased from iTunes and LP bought from the UK Morrissey store. Fingers crossed that we can get him to Number One in the charts.

It's a fantastically strange album and deserves to be heard by a wide audience.

Roll on Harvest Album No.2!

one day after my birthday, just an awesome album, perfect voice and a great production, I like every track on it, if YOR (an album that actually I don't like was #3 in charts) WPINOYB could be #1

Im sick to death to those who compare every song and every album morrissey releases to something related to the smiths, the smiths ends in 1987, and I don't want every morrissey album sounds like the queen is dead, this could be so boring

Have just listened to World Peace for the first time today- my only criticisms are the cringeworthy lyrics to Kiss Me A Lot and the somewhat misogynistic Kick the Bride Down the Aisle. Other than that, my first impressions are that this is a great album that certainly is a musical departure from his previous efforts. My early favourites of the new songs are Neal Cassidy Drops Dead, I'm Not a Man and Staircase At the University. It is certainly superior to Ringleader and Refusal, and may even surpass Quarry.

i'm a few listens in with a nice Rioja flowing ... me gusta! it's definitely an unusual effort from Moz, fine by me, no-one wanted another YOR; playful latino/flamenco flourishes aqui y alli, funny if sometimes clunky lyrics, more experimental musically, strong stand-outs + overall very pleasing (to me, anyhow) ... would've liked a properly recorded 'action' on the 2nd disc but ...

After deciding that I just couldn't wait for my delayed deluxe bundle thingy from the online store, I've gone and bought a copy of the deluxe CD and 10" single from HMV. After five long years, I never thought this day would come!

Isn't he gorgeous !!
Downloaded it this morning and listened twice up to now and .......well, I love it :D Obviously there are favourites such as Istanbul, Art Hounds and Julie in The Weeds especially. Not enamoured with 'Kick The Bride' mainly because of the nasty lyrics. My life is complete hearing Moz sing the words "I love you" in 'One of Our Own'.

Morrissey you have made this ageing, grey haired old lady very happy. Thank you!:flowers::flowers::flowers:

Halfway through the first listen and I can't understand the love for this album. It's different, yes, it's bold musically and lyrically, yes, but... where are the melodies? Where are the actual songs? I'm just hearing beat poetry with dramatic instrumental backing. Cannot imagine reaching to play Neal Cassady Drops Dead or Forgive Someone more than once. Sheesh.
