As I said, he had some clever lyrics (pretty much the entirety of the Smiths back catalogue and most of 1988-1994), and he knows a lot about things he likes (e.g. Oscar Wilde), but I don't think he's inherently intelligent. Morrissey seems to take things very much at face value, rather than looking at things with inference or nuance. Take, for example, his proclamation that "Hitler was left wing". As well as being very, very incorrect, it just highlights his lack of understanding and lack of basic knowledge of well known history. He also compared animal slaughter to the Holocaust. As a devout vegan myself, I agree that animal slaughter is truly immoral, to compare it to the Holocaust is just plain stupid.

"well known history" has been written by the victors and repeated often enough for people to think its true. Pretty much how it still works these days with MSM. If they want to discredit someone or silence them, the recipe is - repeat out of context quotes ad nauseum and get other artists to publicise themselves with disparaging comments about Morrissey in same media.
Then repeat ad infinitum.
The time will come when future generations will judge us very harshly on how we treated all sentient beings with such mass controlled accepted savagery.

Working is shit and I'd much rather see a society in which we didn't have to work. I agree it enslaves people to a system which becomes harder and harder to liberate yourself from the longer you are in it. But does it make people stupid? Not at all.

Why should people who work not be able to vote? I'm guessing you don't work then?

For the record, Morrissey does work - his music career is an actual job that he has invest time and effort into in order to succeed, just like every other job. It's certainly a lot less conventional work, but it's still work through which you earn money and you still have to pay your taxes.

If was up to me we'd see a whole sale overthrow of the British state and decision making powers handed to individual communities, with communities represented by ordinary people, not corporate, capitalist interests, or right wing nationalists who con people, such as yourself, into supporting their divisive, aggressive, agenda.

You talk as if you're outside of the system, but it sounds like you've been well and truly conned into believing it, as I suspect you're a xenophobic, white nationalist.

I certainly work within the system, not out of choice, but because we currently face no other choice. Unless you're incredibly lucky, like Morrissey and other multi-millionaire musicians, artists, actors etc, your choices are either:
- Play no part in the system whatsoever, including not getting a job, but then you will likely become impoverished
- Exist within the system and try and eek out a living
- Exist within the system, but get yourself some decent qualifications, learn, get a decent paying job (which you likely hate, as I do), all so you can get out of the existence of working 5 days a week as soon as possible and live life as it should be lived, free of worry, stress, anxiety. Meanwhile, do everything in your power to campaign and push for a radical change to the state of affairs which only benefits the upper echelons of society who wish to divide our society as much as possible and feed on the hatred they stir up.

So are you therefore inferring that Hitler and the Nazis upon coming to power in January 1933 didn't:
- Lock up prominent socialists and communists
- Ban left wing organisations and unions
- "Aryanised" Jewish business and clubs
- Start locking up who they considered social ills and undesirables

I actually agree with you. I have no doubt that certain parts of the country would be conservative, xenophobic shit holes, and that why it will never work as things are. It's just a dream of how I would wish to see society in a perfect world, but it's a very unrealistic one. I'm more than aware of that.
