I grew up with Reagan and The Smiths in the 80's and I loved them both, but the comments about Reagan on this board are making me ill. I know Morrissey has more liberal views than I do, but I have continued to listen to His music and have even gone out of my way to see him about 35 times thus far. But the comments about Reagan are making me think otherwise. In my own little protest, I have taken down my Morrissey pictures at work and peeled off my "Morrissey" sticker off my car. I even persuaded 3 of my friends who were not going to buy YATQ to buy it and now I'm wondering why. This really hurts because I love Morrissey's music and I don't know what to think anymore.

Lost.

Buy a Van Halen album instead. We do not want Reagan fans! And have a look at this:

Think what you want. And let Moz think what he wants. Surely that's half the point of being a Moz fan? You're not a sheep and being a Morrissey fan is just about the least sheep like a fan can be.

We're all different and Morrissey's music celebrates that fact. Someone thinking different things to you doesn't mean they're a bad person or a stupid person or an insenstitive person and it certainly shouldn't mean you can't like that person anymore.

Ha ha! This really brightened my day. Kind of reminds me of a silver-ring teeny finding out that Britney wasn't a good girl anymore! Come on, are you really surprised that a man who wrote a song calling for Thatcher to be beheaded should be less than sorrowful at the Gimper's death?

Thanks for the link, Sandy, I'd completely forgotten about that!

Have a nice day.

Why don't you tell someone who gives a shit, you little inbred, corporate propoganda cock sucking pussy?

Try listening to Phil Collins. His music is shite but politically you will have much more in common with him than with Morrissey.

Re: Morrissey continues to be outspoken about his social/political opinions, and ...

... that is what I like about him. He is not stiffled by what his "fans" might approve of. He is couragous. Look at what happen in Dublin though. He spoke out, and the audience were the ones who cheered. Blame the audience for their reaction.

Morrissey, keep on speaking your mind and heart.
