Who all is going to the Greenville SC show?

Greenville is 30 mins. from where I live. There is a lot of little cool shops downtown. Jen and I will be there Saturday walking around. Since Moz is off on Saturday maybe he will be doing some site seeing in Greenville. There is a lot of pubs if anyone wants to meet up for some drinks Saturday or Sunday... Send me a message and will see you guys there....

Cindy, my wife, and I will be there!!
We saw the knoxville show, our first, and we are soo excited to see him again.
We would meet for drinks for sure, but know nothing about greenville.
We are staying at the hampton which is supposed to be really close to the peace center.

I'm flying in from PHL on Sunday morning. I'd love to get together somewhere within walking distance from the venue for drinks Sunday afternoon/evening.

Going to book a hotel now and will check out the Hampton based on skinnychef's info above. . .

I will be there along with a friend of mine.. we'll be traveling early that morning from New Orleans.. like really early.. I would love to meet with you guys. Any of ya'll going to Atlanta the next night?

cheers and beers

I'll be there too :D I'd love to meet up with some people. I don't know anything about Greenville either -- anyone have suggestions for a good place??

we are going to be staying at the westin downtown and i do believe they have a pretty cool bar there. we saw morrissey in nashville and birmingham over the summer-both front row-amazing. have front row in greenville. can't wait. hope to see some of you guys there.

I don't live in Greenville anymore but I'm close enough that I'm dragging my brood to see Moz. There's a lot of life on the main street in G'ville, and loads of places to walk - all very close to the Peace Center. Can't wait til Nov 4th!

Do any of the Greenville locals have a recommendation on a good (Irish?) pub to spend the afternoon at before the show? I searched the greatergreenville.com site and a few downtown places that sounded like possibilities were City Tavern, Connolly's Irish Pub, Blue Ridge Brewing Company and Dixies Tavern.

Let me know what you guys think or if you have other recommendations. The Westin bar (or any bar for that matter) works for me too.

Wow, less than 2 weeks away!

No Irish pub close to the Peace center. The closest one (authentic) is on Laurens Rd about 5 miles away.

As for great places, across from the Westin is Soby's (http://www.sobys.com/) and in the Westin Poinsett is Restaurant 'O' (http://www.restauranto.com/), both owned by the same person. Also, he has a new restaurant called the Lazy Goat (http://www.thelazygoat.com/) which is unbelievable as well.

I personally like Sobys, but O has a modern feel and a little more high end menu.

I'll be out at Soby's with my 2 brothers and our wives if anyone wants to have a drink.

Thanks for the links -- I'll check 'em out. Much appreciated!

Kinda depends on what you want your bar to be, you know? You want upscale bar, go with those previous selections. :) You want casual...well, just walk up Main St. a bit. There's plenty to choose from.
