Misleading article headline and thread title. Morrissey didn't buy the meat:

"However, Morrissey’s manager walked through and noticed Chris’ stall. After some to-ing and fro-ing he bought up the whole stall and told us he would donate it to St Petrocs.”

This is a great advert for vegetarianism. It shows it at its humanitarian best, not its dessicated puritanical worst ("yes, we caused hunger and suffering to actual beings, right there, right then, but at least we're ideologically pure-as-the-driven").
