I've been listening to Devil Doll, AKA Colleen Duffy. It's amazing to see what she's become. In the 1990s I used to listen to her college radio porgram "Rockability" on Case Western Reserve University's station, WRUW. One time I heard her play Morrissey, "You're Gonna Need Someone On Your Side". Though her comment about that phase of Moz's career was that Morrissey was capitalizing on the rockabilly scene. Hey, that's okay, because for her show Morrissey was kinda too mainstream, yet he still made it on there. It was mostly underground rockabilly/psychobilly, plus some well-known legends of the genre. She signed me up to a mail order catalog called Hep Cat Records and they sold a bunch of records featuring Boz and Gary Day in their non-Moz endeavors, as well as all kinds of other righteous shit she played on her program.
Anyway, most of her songs are really good! It's too bad she had to leave Cleveland to make it.
