It really emphasises the contrast between Johnny's frisky fingers and Noel's lumpen stodge.

It really emphasises the contrast between Johnny's frisky fingers and Noel's lumpen stodge.

That it does. But for me This Charming Man is just a tad too sprightly (heresy, I know), and the dourness of Morrissey's early voice (particularly when slowed down a click) pairs well with Noel's murky psychedelia.
