What song are you listening to right now?

I love his voice.

A double whammy of swedish radio hits, first the kings of Åkersberga and then a girl who knew how to use her assets.

Indie only happened in Sweden until Popsicle did. This is the gig that started the indie era for real in Sweden:

I love this video and song, no animal was injured:

This reminds me of the same titled song with the addition of the between comes and summer by The Undertones.

Always reminds me of the cat steves song here comes my baby for some reason. I guess a lot of people have covered it since jerry wrote it but I like cliffs version. I'm a big fan of early cliff richards. He's got a really sweet voice. Also on this album is snake and the bookworm which I really enjoy for its wholesomeness. It's charming with its cute goody goody quality. His song title little things mean a lot always reminds me of morrisseys such a little thing makes such a big difference. I don't know, I find it fun to think of odd connections and I listen to and enjoy a wide range of music as my postings might attest which helps you find funny odd connections

With your mother's cameo brooch
Sat at the foot of her bed taking notes

You watched her since you were small
You are the new belle of the ball

With your father's bruise on your arm
Telling me it's no cause for alarm
Stop pushing people away
You can't live your life this way

I will always be there for you
Whenever you need me, someone to talk to

With your sister's love for her dad
You tell her it's the piano teacher that has been bad
You said you hadn't learnt your scales
She said you were going off the rails

But that was nothing to what you are now
And I'm not picking holes and I don't want to row

But people are getting scared
We can see your bones, and we were unprepared

I will always be there for you
Whenever you need me, someone to talk to

J macis - the boy with the thorn in his side

Weird to hear him do this. As a singer he couldn't be farther from morrissey in style

The words:

This is how you make yourself vanish into nothing
And this is how you make yourself worthy of the love that she
Gave to you back when you didn’t own a beautiful thing

This is how you make yourself call your mother
And this is how you make yourself closer to your brother
And remember him back when he was small enough to help you sing

You thought God was an architect, now you know
He’s something like a pipe bomb ready to blow
And everything you built that’s all for show goes up in flames
In 24 frames

This is how you see yourself floating on the ceiling
And this is how you help her when her heart stops beating
What happened to the part of you that noticed every changing wind

This is how you talk to her when no one else is listening
And this is how you help her when the muse goes missing
You vanish so she can go drowning in a dream again

You thought God was an architect, now you know
He’s something like a pipe bomb ready to blow
And everything you built that’s all for show goes up in flames
In 24 frames

You thought God was an architect, now you know
He’s sitting in a black car ready to go
You made some new friends after the show
But you’ll forget their names
In 24 frames

I'm about to fall hard into this guys music. So humble and bittersweet. This song reminds me of Ryan Adams lucky now and really is a good reference point for what I know of him so far

They said farewell 11 years ago with a special Stockholm gig and this song ended one album and was also used to open the following album as a kind of flashback intro.

Popsicle "Slow"
