Yeah, ok. But the Cheeky Girls…. Phwoaaarrr!

What absolute twaddle!!This website is ultimately an extension of Morrissey himself - like attracting like. And Morrissey himself has been fueled by hatred more than any other emotion. It's not surprising this place mirrors the psychology of the artist it's dedicated to.
My plea? Guilty, m'lud. The fact is, most Morrissey fans I've met are maladjusted, self-centered, poisonous cnuts. Every show I've been to has been full of them, and this website seems a fair enough representation.
The drunk has recently attempted to remove herself from society according to her of course. Another nasty one and one desperate for attention. Burning JM cds was extremely childish but we’ve come to expect it with her being dragged up.Probably the fat drunk based in wales and her sleepwalker friend from Cambridgeshire. They are still trying to find their place in this world apart from camping on every Morrissey’s gig just to call the attention of others.
Me too. I'm absolutely vile.My plea? Guilty, m'lud.
Big apols.
For me, it was the sound of Mike Joyce's toms on Last Night I Dreamt that Somebody Loved Me, later reprised - to even greater effect, if you can believe it - on Interesting Drug. What absolute twaddle!!
Most people I know were drawn to Morrissey because, as Noel Gallagher once said(and it's not often I quote NG); "Every time you think of a new way to say 'I Love You' in as song, {Morrissey}'ll go one better". It was his encapsulating of the angst of love, sex and relationships for the awkward outsider that drew many towards him and his music.
Have you ever heard the 1986 song, Panic? (Hatred aside, the live version's worth it just for Mike's groovy hi-hat.). . . NEVER anything to do with HATE! . . .
Well...maybe.Have you ever heard the 1986 song, Panic?

It was his encapsulating of the angst of love, sex and relationships for the awkward outsider that drew many towards him and his music. NEVER anything to do with HATE! If anything, his songs of pugilism, ganglords, and violence have always been the grit in the oyster that, as far as I know among my friends, don't sit that easy with those who've followed from pretty much the beginning. Far from HATE, it's been his poetry on the complications and uncertainty of LOVE that have kept most of us here. And away from the constant bitching that does occur on certain areas of the website, there are friendly discussions on other music, poetry, nature, art, films etc. But that doesn't fit the Hater's theories, does it?
The website's main failing is that it allows people who have no time for Morrissey(but apparently plenty of time to hang about his main fan-site) to post utter bilge under the cloak of anonymity. I bet most other music artists(even The Cheeky Girls) don't allow this twattery to go on, but we've had to tolerate it since 1997.
I certainly know who I hate, and it isn't my fellow Morrissey fans.
It's not the songs so much in my opinion, it's Morrissey's toxic personality that is often echoed by the fans. The mixture of narcissism, self-pity and yes - hatred for others. Read any Smiths interview, or his autobiography, and Morrissey is slagging off all and sundry, left right and centre. He might be doing it wittily, but there are plenty of brickbats being tossed around. He's always been awkward and combative, so it it shouldn't be a surprise when a chunk of his fanbase acts in the same way.If that's The Smiths sole 'hate-song' then I'll take it.

I suppose I should have spotted it was a bit of a wind-up given the question about had I ever heard 'Panic'(hmmm....let me think about that), and the strange referencing of Mike Joyce's drumming. Guess I need to start being a bit more vigilant...This describes anon No 27 very well. In another thread they wished that Morrissey would die soon …
Okay, I'll concede that Morrissey is a very divisive character, maybe THE most divisive in modern music, but I don't know of anyone who became a fan because of his withering put-downs, or the way he slaughtered Gary Numan while reviewing his single for Smash Hits. Generations of teenagers never cried themselves to sleep reading his interview with The Face, or nursed their first broken heart by watching his turn on Eight Days A Week. It's not the songs so much in my opinion, it's Morrissey's toxic personality that is often echoed by the fans. don't get too excited, Grandpa. you're not going to get anything anyway. You can't get to Morrissey's nipples!I sort of 'hate' fans who are constantly making excuses and keep defending him even when his behaviour is just downright terrible and/or plain stupid. He should know how to comport himself by now, instead he behaves like a pretentious, smug, holier-than-thou twät far too often. I'm a rather difficult character like he is* but even I manage to be neither reckless nor rude when I'm pissed off with something or somebody by simply getting ahold of myself at some point and reminding myself of not being too reckless and/or rude. There's no excuse for him being a selfish prick so often when it comes to his rather abysmal treatment of other people. In return his bad behaviour might also rub off on some of his weird die-hard fans who keep adoring him no matter what, which in turn might make him behave even worse (because he can get away with it easily), so there might be a vicious circle thing going on here. (Please note this is not an assessment taking all factors into account but my personal impression of the entire situation.)
Speaking of him being a selfish prick, I abhor the weird yes-men/women he keeps surrounding himself with. By incessantly sucking up to him, not pointing out his mistakes to him, and not running rings around him at least sometimes, these people don't do him any service at all, quite the contrary. But I guess sucking up to him is the only way of being (and remaining) in his graces these days, so I kind of 'hate' him for being such a self-complacent prick, too.
End of 'hate' rant.
*Funny bit, for those who believe in this stuff (I don't but I do admit I find the similarities of manners and behaviour pretty hilarious and kind of interesting): I've got the same astrological constellations linked with having mood swings, being socially awkward, and generally a bit of a cnut: Gemini, moon in Scorpio, Venus in Cancer. I guess both he and I are just royally fücked when it comes to our natal charts, LOL.
Since you seem to be female, you can't either.don't get too excited, Grandpa. you're not going to get anything anyway. You can't get to Morrissey's nipples!
How do you know that, you old goat?Since you seem to be female, you can't either.![]()
Blasphemy. The horrid attention seeking creepy pervert 55 year old A.O’Brien and his silly Facebook fan page. He is a violent man and brags about headbutting a young boy who was only a few years older than the famous climate activist kid Greta. He is very creepy to women.
