What is the meaning of "pashernate" ?

Born again atheist
The song "pashernate love" is one of my favourites. But what is the meaning of the word "pashernate" ? I tried the dictionary to no avail. Is it only another way of spelling passionate ?

I hope this is not a silly question as English happens NOT to be my native tongue.

THANKS

Hi Zulu
It's just the phonetic pronounciation... maybe like 70's brummie rockers 'Slade' :guitar: used to do.. with the likes of 'Cum On Feel The Noize' and 'Mama Were All Crazee Now' etc.

Also...

Bresslaw, Bernard

The song "Mad Passionate Love" from this "Carry On..." movies star supposedly inspired Morrissey's "Pashernate Love".

It's a pun on the terms "pash" (a romantic crush) and "passionate".
