Very interesting to know about how you discovered Japanese pop music.
I remember Momoe Yamaguchi phenomenon very well, watched her farewell concert on live TV.
Like USA and UK, 60s Japanese pop has many gems. :)
Ooh you got to see it on TV? I have the DVD and it's one of my favorite concerts ever. Even though she started as a factory made pop idol she really made a personality of her own and had so much style and charisma. I love her. :love:

There was (and still is) some great music all around the world. Japan is especially great in cultivating awesome talent for their music industry. ^^
