What 5 Morrissey/Smiths songs should I include in my Wedding Reception playlist?

GlasgowChivas

Doing the Terrace Stomp
I can have no more than 5 lest there is a riot from the family who doesn't "get" Morrissey.

So what 5 should I pick?

you should be delighted with 5

i got one at my wedding - chose Some girls are bigger than others. And none of the guests got it - which was the point.

don't invite them, and besides it is YOUR wedding so have what you want.
;)

"You Know I Couldn't Last" To set the proper expectations for the wedding night...:)

Funnily enough I was discussing this with a friend on Saturday...
We went for There Is A Light... as a first dance song
Others maybe:

You're Gonna Need Someone On Your Side
No-One Can Hold A Candle To You (I know its a cover but meh)
Let Me Kiss You
Whatever Happens, I Love You

"You Know I Couldn't Last" To set the proper expectations for the wedding night...:)
Ha!
Seriously, I believe There is a Light is a nice suggestion, Please, Please works, and I would suggest:
Stop Me...-danceable and people may know it from the Mark Ronson version
This Charming Man-nice for your groom
Sing Your Life-danceable, uplifting etc.
I Know it's gonna' happen someday-old fashion sounding and hopeful

Congratulations and have a wonderful day:)

In all seriousness, we did play "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out," "Interlude," and one of the 5 songs from my earlier post. We may have played "Hand in Glove," too; I can't remember, and I can't find the playlist. We had the world's awesomest DJ.

I think that the Bride should walk down the aisle to the sounds of...

"Your The One For Me, Fatty"

we are having let me kiss you by moz or hold me by damien dempsey as our first dance

I refused to do all that. My only "demand" on the big day.

Whenever I go to weddings, I cringe when the "Happy Couple" do the first dance.

Am I a bad person?

I wont share you. ( obviously)
Heaven knows I'm miserable now.
Do your best don't worry.
I like you.
If you don't like me don't look at me (specially for the in-laws)

Awww, congrats! 10 months should be plenty of time for the preparations.

and in the church instead of here comes the bride crap we have a string quartet playing please please please let me get what I want. Have to get a bit of Moz in there and its a beautiful piece of music
