I don't mind being insulted or made fun of, but when people start using my name for their inane posts, well, that's what bothers me. Just for the record, I've only posted two messages here, yesterday at around mid-day--the one about Elvira/Morrissey's LA hotel sojourns, and the one about David Bowie. Well, and now this one of course.
Elvira (or 666Storms, whichever you prefer (it's fairly easy to tell sweetheart--writing style is like a fingerprint believe it or not)), I don't know exactly to what degree you are mentally challenged or emotionally scarred, but it's fairly obvious (or an incredible coincidence) that you're coming in here to write messages as other people, then posting responses to your own counterfeit posts:
LOLA: "loserslikeyou" 3:14a
Elvira: "most popular" 3:20a
LOLA: "And one more thing!" 3:23a
Cili Barnes: "Elvira is a skank" 3:29a
Elvira: "Elvira is a skank" 3:31a
Elvira: "IS A WONDERFUL WOMAN" 3:35a
Elvira: "And one more thing!" 3:37a
aetsaerg: "I have swallowed everything!" 3:46a
By the way, I believe your obsession with me is reaching alarming heights. Let it go. You'll feel better.
I think everyone on this board who is familiar with my posts knows that I would never call anyone a "skank." I actually have a vocabulary. That also wasn't me pretending to be Sir Charm, whoever that is.
Since this is my last post, I might as well get things off of my chest and if no one reads them, well, c'est la vie. IMPOSTER and a couple of others seem to really love making fun of people who dislike having their names taken and misused. Well, some of us come in here fairly regularly, and the only thing that identifies us to others on this board is our names. So obviously, when your name is taken by another, it strips it of any worth and/or usefulness. When it happens enough, it becomes impossible for the real person to have any conversation about anything with anyone. I know that IMPOSTER specifically asked for someone to post something "entertaining" (which I've heard before), but aren't you people on the wrong message board for that? What are you looking for, jokes? I seem to recall that this board was once dedicated to music.
I know it's very convenient to say that we "have no lives," or have empty lives," or are "losers" for being upset over this--by the way, have you people ever heard of the psychological term "projection?"--but that's ridiculous. We're not out outraged, or picketing holding burning torches, but we are trying to maintain that very tenuous connection we each have to this message board which was once very useful. I'd like to know how you spend each day, before you start questioning the quality of other people's lives. I've just spent the last three weeks travelling across northern Europe relaxing, enjoying myself and seeing the Cure. How have your past three weeks been? I know that seemed petty, but I wanted to illustrate a point. A lot of people come in here to break the monotony of their work days or to simply talk about music or Morrissey. Is that so wrong? All the name-callers are feigning some kind of closer connection to real life than the ones who defend their message board names, but, really, the irony is that the name-callers are unaware of how far away they are from the "real world." I suppose I'm not one to talk of life in the real world, but at least I know what it is, and that I'm not living in it. And I leave those who are, alone.
What astonishes me is that after all this time, you few idiots haven't become sick of your old stupid games that nobody wants to play. I know that somehow my leaving will be seen as a victory of some sort, as ludicrous as that may be, but relish what you can I suppose. I think most of the people in here understand how difficult things must be for you, to need these picayune and pettily empowering moments so desperately.
Gros bisous,
Cili
