Thanks for the kind advice on how to get my future wife to accept "I Won't Share You" as our wedding song.
I failed to convicnce her to go with a Mozzer/Smiths tune, but I WAS able to get her to agree to a BritPop song nonethless (she likes classic rock and crappy modern stuff like Flickerstick, but is slowly turning the corner).
We compromised with "The Universal" by Blur. Personally, and as much as love that song, I think a song about a 1984-esque society is a bad lyrical choice for a wedding song, but her take is that it is pretty and no one will pay attention the words. To which I rebutted, why not "I Won't Share You" then (since she thinks it is too possessive).
Anyway, I appreciate the comments several of you made. They were pretty fun to read.
I have been told, and am learning, the man never wins. He can only hope for an agreeable compromise, usually on her terms. In all seriousness, I couldn't be happier.
