"Wedding Bell Blues" - vinyl 45 released today (10 May, 2019)

This single had a bit of a confused start to its life.
First reported on Morrissey Central (28 Feb) and again on Morrissey Central (24 March) that it would have the B-side "I Thought You Were Dead".
With the pre-information and release of Lover-To-Be for Record Store Day, it became apparent that the B-side wasn't going to be "I Thought You Were Dead".
Various online portals subsequently updated their information and "Brow Of My Beloved" was confirmed for the B-side.
This song title has been known from about 2017 and is one of several Morrissey/Boorer compositions slowly becoming available.
There is no matrix message on the vinyl.
Today's vinyl release also confirms that the B-side was recorded at Sunset Studios at the same time as California Son:

Today's release appears to be global.
There are listings for it on every Amazon portal (shows as an import in Japan), European, US & UK indies, HMV, Rough Trade et al...

At the time of writing, there is no listing anywhere for a digital release of "Brow Of My Beloved".
Given previous releases, that tends to happen around 12-2 pm UK time if it's due today.
Please feel free to post any information about said should you find it.
As soon as it is available, please check here and/or the downloads section to hear it.
Similarly, the kind souls who often record the vinyl will probably come through too.
Further information as it comes in.
Regards,
FWD.

Lyrically, Brow Of My Beloved (https://www.dropbox.com/s/iy6fngbl7ilvmld/Brow of my Beloved.mp3?dl=0) reminds me very much of “Spilt Milk” by The Cure. Living a life you know you shouldn’t be living and loving the person you know you shouldn’t be loving. “And I’m stuck here with you-know-who...”

Spilt Milk lyrics:

I don't think I ever know
If I ever really want it
Could be why I'm never sure
If I ever really got it
And I guess it's maybe easier
Not to think too much about it...
A house a car a family and friends
Yeah all it means to justify the ends

But sometimes... I wonder...
In the back of my mind
Sometimes... I wonder...
If I'm wasting all my time
Sometimes... I wonder...
If I'm putting off my real life...

What I could've done,
Where I could've been
When I should've gone,
Why I should've seen
Who I would've loved,
How I would've dreamed
And if it's always always too late...

I don't think I ever know
That I ever really need it
Could be why I'm never sure
That I ever really feel it
And I think it's maybe easier
To guess I really mean it...
A house! A car! A family and friends!
Yeah all it means to justify the ends

But sometimes... I wonder...
A girl! A smile! A holiday and sex!
Yeah all it takes
To make sense of the rest

But sometimes... I wonder...
In the back of my mind
Sometimes... I wonder...
If I'm killing all my time
Sometimes... I wonder...
If I'm giving up my real life...

What I could've done,
Where I could've been
When I should've gone,
Why I should've seen
Who I would've loved,
How I would've dreamed
And if it's always, always too late...

And every day that I let slide
Is one day more I never try
To break the world
To make my fate
And with every day that I let go
It's one day less I ever know
If it's always
Always too late...

Really hoping we can improve on that recording by the speakers very soon.
I quite like this track and it definitely needs a FLAC.
That said, knowing Moz - Brow... will be vinyl only and the meant to be exclusive RSD I Thought You... got a digital release by mistake ie completely the wrong way round :)

Those lyrics are awful - almost worth crying over.

Somebody needs to update the "Singles" section of the Morrissey discography Wikipedia page. I'd do it myself, but I've completely lost track of the singles released since "Chain Gang", as some were physical and some were download-only (and there was at least one release that wasn't technically a "single"), and I have no idea where to find chart information.

Picked mine up from HMV at the staggering price of £9.99! HMV have been really competitive in recent years - which is why it’s been a shame to see their decline - so this was a bit of a disappointment. Still, I think Morrissey releases are the only singles they really stock now.

I had a lovely chat with the chap at the till about Moz and the other purchases I made and he said the single has sold really well for them today and they only have a dozen left and that’s it.

Love the two songs and the yellow vinyl is very striking. Funnily enough, Radio 2 had the original “Back On the Chain Gang” playing on the drive home.

Brow Of My Beloved is fantastic! Great lyrics and guitars. Wow. Second favorite of mine next to I Thought You Were Dead. This may be my favorite release so far :)

So annoying. No record store in San Diego seems to have gotten it in today...

Is Record City still alive out there? In Hillcrest? It was my favorite shop when I lived there almost 10 years ago. One day when I went in, someone had just dropped off their haul of Moz and Smith’s rare singles. Was the best day ever!

Anyway..hope you find it! I’m in LA now and not too many small local shops order any of his 7” so I got mine online.
