Was Jennifer wrong to put TYWTML back?

Did Jennifer rush to put the single release back from 29th May to 5th June?

29th was a Bank Holiday in the UK so if it wasn't delivered to the shops then folks couldn't have bought it. Morrissey complained about Quarry being released in a short sales week. Was he correct about that ?. Quarry was released May 17th '04 which wasn't a Bank Holiday - or does he mean that they should've released it on a Sunday?.

Perhaps Jennifer warns Morrissey that Youngest was about to go out during a 'short' sales week that so they moved it to the following week.

Maybe it was delayed so that media and TV appearances would build-up demand. I don't know that works with Morrissey though. Probably better to get all the sales in a short week from the apostles so that he's got a higher proportion of sales. Then again he might have had more luck if it had been released on 22nd May - the Monday after Jonathan Ross rather than 4th June after Jools Holland on 2nd June. The (recorded) 'Youngest' was on the Album Chart Show on 27th May in perfect time for release on 29th - it must've been scheduled that way, but no, Jennifer knocked it back.

Morrissey himself said something at the Alexandra Palace about it being 'rash' or 'foolish' or some such thing to release 'Youngest'. He may well have been right.
