Morrissey: 'Norway Attacks Nothing Compared To Actions Of Fast Good Giants'

Yes congrats Uruguay and what a frontline with the little gypsie Suarez and the Björn Borg lookalike Forlan, a true Liverpool and Man United combination there!
Did Moz foresee the events in Norway with his lyrics for "Scandinavia" and will the guy behind the Diana Morrissey website elaborate on it?
Anyway, here in Scandiland we were a few that expected this attack and many are sure to follow but do not be fooled to believe the man was nazi because he was a sionist if you read his 1500 page statement and he rejected the nazis and skinheads and all of that and they rejected him.
Norway is the last communist state and everything is politics there so much so that the marxist feminists made sure that cable channels cannot show any porn at all. When channels showing that start their porn shows the picture in Norway gets scrambled. Been like that since the beginning of cable tv. When one lives a life getting padded on the head by the government who created a "Truman show" like country then someone will always rebel against it.

Another set of posts that indicate how much this site needs an overhaul. You would just hope that David T realises how foolish he has been in not doing it a long time ago.

Keep this setlist for Cork and I will be one happy Mozza fan. Keep up the good work, ignore the crashing bores.

Agreed, it's gone from bad to possibly the worst vibe I've ever encountered on a site in my life. And he'll blame it all on Morrissey I'm sure. Meanwhile folks are coming back from the gigs talking about what a good time it was and how happy the man seems. Morrissey!=Morrissey-solo and never did. The two have nothing to do with each other. Everybody here is wasting their breath, and life, dwelling on any bit of negativity they can draw out of the air. It's like they're addicted to poison. I'm done trying to see any good in it.

Who is- for all the world to see -horrible .He should just retire now. There are no good vibes around him.Scandinavia is an awful song and he is such a low-life to turn it into entertainment and rake in money tonight is just imoral.

There is no way to condemn him for playing this song. He's been playing it every show since he unveiled it. You cannot let terrorists win by changing what you do because of them.

Morrissey already either made or lost money. Playing this song at a concert was not going to make people buy more or less merchandise or tickets. It would be much worse of he dropped it.

So many good songs loads of songs so many songs and he comes out every night, tour after tour, and plays just absolute SHIT!!!!

The killing of children compared to KFC & McDonald's?!!! What an asshole! Wish he was on the Norwegian island!

Then don't come to the site if you're for a fascist censored state. Easy as that.

Yeah, sorry to have gone off topic, I might one day find time to read the bible, you got me there. "Antichrist" still doesn't refer to just any person who is against Christ though, does it (May also be a linguistic problem, in german it usually is "the antichrist", never heard "an antichrist") once again sorry to have gone off topic. Forget it now. Still shocked about the Oslo reference though.

The German translation of the Bible will also tell you that there are many antichrists. There is no linguistic problem, there is a problem of you not having read the actual Bible and relying on what others tell you. I suggest you read the Bible translation by Hermann Menge, because he was a linguist and took great care when he translated the Bible and also gives you alternative possible translations of words.

It would be bad but I don't think it's been confirmed yet. I only saw one post about it.

Was from someone who has a username and posted from other gig in Poland.
So would think it is real.

Was anyone else there, that heard the comments?
What song followed? Maybe on you tube.
If true,it is very poor from Moz. :(

He did say it. Just sat here in my Warsaw hotel room before flying back and thinking about it.
Pretty much word for word he said - we all live in a murderous world, as the events in Oslo have shown, but worse things happen in the likes of MacDonalds and KFC.
Seems bad written down but I don,t think he meant to belittle the events in Norway, it was just a link into Meat is Murder, which was played next.
Didn't seem to go down badly with the crowd, maybe it went unnoticed?

The tour manager of the Heartbreaks stated that Warsaw was the last concert on Morrissey's European tour. Does anybody know who is going to open for him in Eindhoven?

Quit bitching you trolls.

It's interesting to hear such a gloomy song called Scandinavia after the horror in Norway. I hope he releases another one called "Liberia" or "Somalia".

I just wish he was releasing better music... He' gotten lazy. And it would be super cool if he stopped being such a vegetarian extremist. Meat is Murder has done its job already.

Morrissey should support the legalization of weed instead.

Excerpt from the Autobiography

Taken from chapter 38

The So-low place part I

1997. Not a vintage year. New Labour win the election. The nation goes quite, quite mad over the tragic death of a dim aristocrat - without quite noticing it was murder in the first degree, despite the obvious warning signs - mutating thence into a pallid, self-loathing version of California before one's very eyes, minus the excellent personal hygiene and porcelain dentition. Fights erupt in newsagents throughout Slough as manly men with corned beef skin and over-ripe tomato noses mutter, "I couldn' give a monkey's 'bout Diana," before being thumped by their jeans-and-t-shirt-clad wives with their dewy eyes, running mascara and copies of The Sun. And, of course, Old Mozza is hung out to dry by the music press, just for a change. 'What's the excuse this time? What possible motive could they have?' I hear you ask. Well, it couldn't have been the music, could it? 1997 was a fine year in that regard; 'Maladjusted' was simply overflowing with melodic hit singles and bitterly humorous asides; there were bona fide top 40s in the form of 'Alma Matters' and 'Satan Rejected My Soul' (well, almost...); and the odd hip-swivelling appearance on TOTP and TFI Friday. No, no. It wasn't the music. So then what was it? Perhaps it had something to do with the fact a working class boy from Stretford stood up to the bullying and harassment of a high court Judge and a man who beats up dead animal skin stretched over metal for a living? Yes, yes, yes - that's more like it. More persecution for Old Mozza - well the old goat deserves it. Go on, southpaw him in the jaw. Meanwhile Dame Elton re-releases 'Candle in the Wind' with minor lyrical alterations to render them even more fawning and yes - even less dignified. And while he earns himself a global number one hit and knighthood, of course, Old Mozza disappears from view entirely. Morrissey? Isn't he dead yet? Salt in the wounds? This was industrial-strength alkali. And it burned straight through the bones like a hostile QC through Old Mozza's defence.

OK, I'll ask again, Im patient.

How are his Smiths-days songs live? musically, I mean. How good/bad is the band with the material because, you know, the songs might sound easy but the bass lines had tons of ghost notes (which bassists usually drop) and drumming had odd timings (and Joyce played 'against' Rourke instead of 'with' him) and I'm not even mentioning Johnny's guitar lines (which ARE bloody hard).

So, how is it?

Hi,
I've seen and heard every solo line up play the Smiths' songs and the current team are doing a mighty fine job. Of course it has to be said that nobody could ever play them as the original boys did, never could and never should.
So what we have is an interpretation of those songs along with the original, but matured, singer.
We shouldn't expect to hear exactly the same as we did when they were recorded, but we're bloody lucky to hear them live at all.
Moz is no longer in The Smiths, Smiths is dead. Thank your god if you have one that we still have the songs.
And, for now, we still have Morrissey singing them.
