Voice problems could threaten tour. You are warned

Actually you are not far wrong there

I have similar news also from someone close to the inner circle

To the person who posted the third message in this thread, using the same name and ip as myself, please do not take from the serious message I have posted.
Please use another name. Thanks.

Just as long they are not the venues I've spend hundreds on.
He can mime for all I care.

Actually, its the same old shite....

Since this Lp may actually catapult him into the stratosphere, odds are he will scuttle the tour just like he did when Vauxall came out. If he hadn't cancelled that US tour, he would have been massive in the states.
He really does not want to be truly successful .

there was "tour" for V&I, just a handful of dates

There was the 2 Carnegie Hall dates that he said he never agreed to and I think there were a couple LA shows that tickets went on sale for.

Sorry.. there was not a V&I tour ever scheduled.
I had tickets to one of the shows at Carnegie and I thought there were a couple west coast dates but someone else would need to confirm.

This was back in the day where there wasn't a lot of interenet connectivity except for college students. I usued to run up a huge phone bill every month talking to all the tape traders and speaking with Irene Sutter and Howie Klein at Sire to get information.

The fact that you didn't hear much about it in OK doesn't surprise me.

thats the dates that were annouced. There was a huge tour set up and he scuppered it. which lost him his high-powered US manager and his support from Warners and EMI. Why do you think Southpaw died the quick death? And after Maladjusted and the debacle of his lack of cooperation with Mercury ,the word was out to stay away from him.
The reason he was without a record deal for years was no one wanted to take on such a headache as working with him.

Can you elaborate on how he failed dto cooperate with Mercury? I believe you, I'm just curious about the details.

As far as a V&I tour goes, I wouldn't be surprised if they were planning one, I'm just saying it never really got off the ground to the point that dates were announced and you could buy tickets.

Working class hero he'll never be

Well, I thought he had well overbooked himself anyway.
Nobody but nobody agrees to so many dates in such a short time.
If he really is taking everyone for a ride it will be the last time he does.
I will smash every record ever owned by such a hypocrite.

An LA show went on sale during the Vauxhall days. It was at the Grand Olympic Auditorium which is an old boxing arena. I had 4th row tickets and was devasted when I had to return. It was actually first postponed due to illness then cancelled. I remember hearing on KROQ that his label was unable to locate him.

To be fair, he had just had three friends die on him.
