I still maintain my original point concerning the advertising of VM on this board.

That's fine,I still maintain mine that you are so spineless you hide behind a new user name to remain anonymous.I think it also has to be said that there are other members of Viva Morrissey that have never even posted on here before so why should they not be allowed to inform us of forthcoming gigs without you wittering on about alleged past problems between the site's admin and one of their members?

There are some basic rules on the site and it doesn't matter how huge a Morrissey/Smiths fan is, if the user continues to violate them and disregard warnings he or she will be banned.

From your message I see these are the rule changes you are suggesting:

1. Anyone that slags Morrissey is banned.
2. Anyone that slags tribute bands is banned.
3. 'Genuine' Smiths/Morrissey fans are exempt from all rules and won't be banned.

How would 'genuine' Smiths/Morrissey fans be determined? You are saying a 'genuine' fan is allowed to for example spam, post pornographic images, bully, post personal details, or otherwise harass other users on the site?

Posting on the site is a privilege, there is nothing stopping the banned 'genuine' fans from posting on another forum or creating their own.

I fully understand the site needs rules but it seems they are different depending on who you are and I am not and have not suggested any rule changes.Everyone has the right to slag Morrissey tribute bands and Morrissey himself but when they only come on here to do that and nothing more then I find it difficult to believe they are Morrissey fans at all or in the case of this "new" member IanTowning that they have a personal grudge against a member of Viva Morrissey and come on here purely to cause trouble and have a go at someone who,as they are not a member here cannot even reply.As I have said this idiot is so spineless they couldn't post these comments under the user name they usually use so have to hide behind another.

Of course I am not suggesting anyone be allowed to post pornographic images etc on here and I think it's quite ridiculous of you to even suggest it.And I have to say that if someone feels bullied or harassed simply by what some faceless person who doesn't even know them says on a forum then they really need to sort themselves out and get a life.

I have to say that you are as good a mod as there is on here and usually distance yourself from this sort of thing so am surprised you have said what you have.I do like it here,which is why I have visited this site most days for years now so why tell me to go somewhere else when I merely voice an opinion.And you tell me I am on shaky ground??? Members have said far worse to other members several times on here without that sort of reaction so I can only presume it is because I am not agreeing 100% with everything DavidT says.Were the comments written by other members in this very thread not insulting? And how would you describe someone who is so worried about revealing their identity they create a new user name simply to have a go at someone and believe we will all think they really are a new member? I thought my desription was quite accurate given the circumstances.

I think Uncle Skinny is a good mod too but someone didn't agree with us. I recall reading on the main board Uncle Skinny's name, address, links to his work site, and the suggestion to write complaints to his place of employment. His partner's work details as well were posted.
I apologise not remembering the Mods in all this.
