Waited all day outside HMV in Manchester. It threatened to rain, and somehow my bladder held out!
When i finally met Morrissey all i could do was punch his arm (three times) and shout happy St Patricks day - uncool, i know, but it did'nt go as i imagined it would...... he probably thought long and hard about retiring that night.......

hmm,I was 18 at the time and I had a really lovely girlfriend, she was much more into morrissey that time (now I must be a bigger fan) and we went on our bike to the nearest recordshop to buy the thing. went back home and made love all afternoon while listening to moz. (romantic huh?)

that it wouldn't have been several months later in August when i really heard his music for the first time. until then, i heard a mention of him on a TV show and merely pondered buying this pink album when i went to go investigate his CD output at a local music store.
