I don't want to pour cold water on this news but isn't the recognised official albums chart for the USA, the Billboard 200? (and it always has been).

On the Billboard official site they don't seem to have updated the Billboard 200 yet for this week but there is this article discussing the top 10 for this week (dated 2nd June) and it doesn't feature Morrissey in the top 10:- https://www.billboard.com/articles/...ilish-returns-no-1-billboard-200-albums-chart

Perhaps Morrissey is #7 in 'pure album sales' or something, but the Billboard 200 (like the official UK album chart) takes into account streams and downloads etc as well, to come up with chart positions these days.

(EDIT: the article also says "The new June 8-dated chart, where Eilish returns to No. 1, will be posted in full on Billboard's websites on June 4.")

Nice but I’m honestly surprised. I thought it would do fine but that’s a good spot in a large market

I’ve just scrolled through the entire top 200 (twice!) and I didn’t see it at all ‍♀️

Congrats to Moz for sure... any ideas why CS placed so much higher than past releases? Sure, high profile Broadway shows and a well-timed Jimmy Fallon appearance no doubt helped. Beyond that, the promotion seemed somewhat minimal. Just curious.
