i think you are safe in being assured a msg ticket, they should be plentiful, curtain or no curtain, unless, that is, if it is cancelled for lack of sales. that is one i would think twice before traveling to.
there are several others that jump out at you in this same manner.

I don't remember if the floor was GA for the cancelled show in 2007. But it's been totally renovated so maybe things have changed.
I checked Billy Joel's residency and it's all seated on the floor, so I guess there is a good chance the floor will be seated. I really don't know.

Was curious about this myself. Do they typically do GA floor for concerts?

I hope you're correct, Harsh Truth, 'cos I'm in a miserable mood as I slowly realize getting to NYC is going to be near impossible for us.

that makes sense about the fire fly.

why is ny gonna be impossible for you?

Can someone explain to me the connection between morrissey and blondie
Has either mentioned each other or anything similar

blondie/debbie harry are humasexual icons. they were also part of the nyc scene with the dolls and cbgb crowd.

Moz will be playing the Academy of Music in Philadelphia on Saturday, 6/20. I know because I work there! :) Date should be announced shortly. We are quite excited to have him again!

Two things:

1. According to the TRB, this announcement is another sign--and the playing at a Masonic Hall is another one. Blue Rose lives.

2. Many in Pittsburgh don't want Morrissey and his shite release WPINOYB.

There is no connection, beyond the fact that by playing together they can sell out this venue. It's not rocket science.

The only thing I can remember is that Blondie played before Moz on Nov 6 2004 in Buenos Aires (Argentina) at the Personal Fest but other than that ... I don't know.

I just thought to myself (again) "Kristeen Young was very lucky to open for Moz."

Really, the more I think about it the more I feel this way. Moz had people like Nancy Sinatra, The New York Dolls, Patti Smith, Tom Jones, Buffy Saint-Marie and now Blondie open for him. He was on the same bill as Lou Reed, Iggy And The Stooges and Patti Smith in 2011 at the Hop Farm Festival. All those people are / were (R.I.P. Lou) well respected artists who have been active much longer than Moz. He must feel like he is dreaming sometimes.

The Sunday Bloody Sunday video was filmed at Red Rocks, but the only 1 or 2 of the songs on U2's "Under a Blood Red Sky" were actually recorded at Red Rocks. The rest at various stops of that tour.

I hope you are not jerking folks around with this........living in Richmond have tried to see Morrissey 4 times, all massive failures (DC, Baltimore, etc). The one time he actually did come to Richmond was unable to attend due to death in family.

This better not be a put-on. Moz in Philly on a Saturday would be PERFECT.

In his defence? Mmmh ... Let us take a look at people's reactions ...

No tour dates = wrong (forgetting his fans)
Tour dates = wrong (just cashing in)
No new material = wrong (nostalgia act / just cashing in)
New material = wrong (too much new material)
Big venues = wrong (no atmosphere / just cashing in)
Small venues = wrong (he can't fill bigger ones)
Off the track cities = wrong (what to do afterwards? Boring / nobody wants to see him in the big cities)
Big cities = wrong (forgetting his fans elsewhere / too far to travel)

I could go on forever ... You get the general idea ...

You really need to learn how to skip the boring commercials and pay attention to the interesting ones.
