Two asteroids buzz Earth today
NASA thought you might like to know that a couple of space rocks will be doing a fly-by today (when did scientists first notice them?). Our planet will dodge both bullets, but they're zipping by pretty close by space standards and will be visible with moderate-sized amateur telescopes.
How often do large asteroids smash into Earth?
One recently discovered asteroid might be on a collision course with us right now. When might it hit?
What would happen if a big one hit? Ask a dinosaur -- or watch this simulation.
