It's to easy to say Bernie could have won when he didn't have to go through three debates or face any attacks focused on him from republicans. He didn't explain many of his policies very well and who knows what he would have been attacked with. I mean he couldn't even convince the majority or democrats and leftists to vote for him over Hillary so I still doubt his campaign ability. He however should have stopped attacking Hillary long before he did as I think he was only thinking of his own post election profile and didn't think Donald could win and passed that sense spoiledness to a portion of his supporters. I don't think Americans had it so terrible and obama accomplished a lot for people given that he wasn't in control and didn't have support from other branches of government. He tried to pass an infrastructure bill but republicans wouldn't give it to him though now they wanna give trump an even larger one. Sadly Americans don't pay much attention to congress and just blame the president. He did a lot economically as well especially considering the recession in place when he came into office. He'll he bailed out the auto industry when a lot of republicans said let it fail. I don't think hillaries policies are comparable to trump or that status quo would be much worse than what we have now and face under trump. One area this is surely apparent is the Supreme Court. Her appointment would have without a doubt changed the status quo there and would have had an extremely long lasting effect. Now when trump does drop the religious liberties exemption order his court will uphold it and it will last a long time. Liberals should have realized the importance of that appointment and pulled together and supported her. Religious conservative republicans did just that when they held there nose and voted for trump, an offensive non religious man, anyway and they will benefit at our expense

But his foreign policy based in other countries armed interventions made his country being hated by a big portion of the world, like Bushes and Clinton did. A lot of interesting information there. I wonder how much he knows about it or how deep he goes into it. It does take a lot of time I would think. You may want to write a letter and get it to him, enlightening him on these issues. Sometimes it's possible before a show at soundcheck. We all live in our own little reality tunnels, and M is no exception when it comes to not being able to see all the evil in this world. And from your post, you really seem to be up on these matters. How do you address these issues?, I mean to have such knowledge of these issues and not do something about it all must be a terrible burden on ones conscience, I would think.

Just a lot of opinions , speculations and assumptions there that are not worth going into really, not saying you're wrong to have an opinion, you should and that's why this site allows such airings. But name calling,finger pointing and saying someone does not know how to love? based on your reasoning it's an interesting take on the subject. Love is very complex and how one shows it and to whom they show it to... very complex. And to say his concern for animal welfare is...'all a lie' really? I find this remark laughable... If all he was ever to have done was write the song 'Meat is Murder' that would have been enough... to show his love. Case closed.

As a huge Morrissey supporter, I am getting more and more confused. All of this stuff has become too political. Trump is just one guy with money and now also with (some) bits of power, let's come back to ordinary life of ordinary people. I don't want to see a whole series of antiTrump statements or antiTrump songs, ''it says nothing about my life", do you know what I mean?

I can't say what the public defenders are using to rationalize it if any significant number of the public are or even notice something like this but the official reasoning was that it hurts businesses that use animal testing and the business of the labs that do it and so on and you know jobs and stuff. All regulation that makes any business more difficult large or small difficult in any way large or small is a drag on the economy that can't be tolerated no matter what in any way. As to what makes transparency good in places but bad here is partisanism and people's willingness to engage partisan selective truth. It's good when people I support say it and it's good when whatever principal supports my immediate argument and bad when it's the opposite

Some bits of power? I'll take it with a sense of humour! Anyway I have to remind you the USA President is the most important person of the world, whoever he is, so he does affect our life wherever we're living. Maybe, this time, Morrissey pressed the right botton, because animal care is a universal value. Basically he said Trump doesn't care about animal so how much he care about human? That could impress simple people more than a celebrities parade. In my opinion the simple people oppressed by new global economy felt themselves even more isolated watching stars and starlettes marching like a fashion event. What's the message of this famous people? We are glamorous, we are the smart face of America so we didn't vote Trump. You poor and ugly middle class are scared at death about Muslim and Mexico because you aren't intellectually challenged! That's not a solution, Trump can be the worst USA president, but saying he's not my president isn't democratic. Well done Morrissey!

Trump is a human, he is mortal like all of us and I think he is someway dependent from a few other people. I don't know how much, but of course he is. It's YOU, not HIM (let's say the election was fair) that elected him. He cannot do absolutely anything, at least at the moment. Hope this won't change. I know that politics affects our lives indirectly, but I think it it more mature way of thinking not to blame policitians (like always) for ABSOLUTELY ALL failures in our lives: rejections, loneliness, losing job, not having enough money to buy something, being betrayed by best friend, etc. I just wanted to say that Mozza has much greater

wrong on so many counts. The trump campaign had WAY worse things in store for Bernie than just a bunch of shit about a mail server. And if you think Hillary was "just as bad as trump" then you are a deluded buffoon. With Hillary things would have gone on much as before: a country moving greener, a country that believe in facts and science, a country that believes in LGBT rights and a woman's right to choose. That is all going away. But while those REAL things are affecting real lives, feel free to stay in your ivory tower and talk nonsense. You probably didn't vote anyway did you?

So you think late term abortions when the foetus has limbs, a functioning brain etc is a good thing huh? Still struggling to see what Trump has said against LGBT, please enlighten me. Hilary was as bad as Trump, shady as f***. A woman that had 20% of her campaign donations come from Saudi Arabia, literally one of the most oppressive regimes on earth, a shill taking $250K per speech from Wall Street, a year before the election and a woman who along with her sociopathic husband abused her position as Secretary of State to enrich themselves with their 'pay for play' scheme and you think she would have been OK? Let's face it, America was f***ed either way with their choice this last election.

I wasn't blaming politicians, I'm not moaning about money or job, I was just expressing some criticism about people against Trump, because this people see themselves as the intellighenzia of the nation and despite the ones who voted Trump with the illusion he could solve their problems. I'm happy Morrissey isn't in the chorus, but expressed his disappointment with different argument. Morrissey got a lot of interesting thoughts, I know, including Trum.
 
AztecCamera, we the people outside your country woud give a s..t about your president, if third or fourth grade officials were not able to arm a coup d'etat in a foreign country and ruin the life of millions with a single decision. Or make an invasion or screw world economy.

I'm happy Morrissey didn't take the easy road, like most show business people, supporting the other open grave of Hilly Billy and falling in a fake alternative.
