TTY: Morrissey Mayor of London?

Morrissey: Mayor of London? - true-to-you.net
4 March 2016

Morrissey has been invited to become the London Mayoral candidate for the Animal Welfare Party in the upcoming 2016 election. Morrissey would require 330 signatures of support in order to enter the race, and is considering the contest very seriously.

Morrissey has commented:

"Animal welfare groups cannot persist simply in order to continue to persist. There must be a governmental voice against the hellish and archaic social injustice allotted to animals in the United Kingdom simply because those animals do not speak English, otherwise millions of very caring citizens are greatly concerned about issues that no one is able to do anything about. What animal protectionists need to say is very well worth saying and well worth hearing. But we cannot just sit around waiting for establishment enlightenment. The sanctimonious disaster of animal agriculture cannot be allowed to go on forever, because its widespread impact is hellish. Animals in dairy farms and abattoirs are very eager not to die, yet their bodies are torn apart whilst still alive as they are strapped beneath a blade. No outcome can justify this, and we cannot be happy with a society that allows it to happen, because such a society without compassion goes nowhere. The abattoir is the modern continuation of the Nazi concentration camp, and if you are a part of the milk-drinking population, then you condone systems of torture. There is no such thing as humane slaughter, and if you believe that there is, then why not experience it for yourself? If animal serial killer Jamie Oliver feels so passionate about including 'kid meat' (young goat) into the human diet, would he consider putting forth one of his own kids (children) for general consumption? If not, why not? What makes such people have absolutely no forgiveness towards animals? What hate drives them? The meat industry, after all, shows no compassion towards the planet, towards climate change, towards animals, towards human health. It is diabolically contrived and is the world's number one problem. It is also the number one issue stifled from any political debate, which, if anything, highlights its importance. The slaughterhouse effectively means that none of us are safe. Just investigate the appalling effects of meat production on our climate, environment, fields, forests, lakes, streams, seas, air and space. Your eyes will pop. No bigger global disaster could possibly be devised. Social justice for animals is not much to demand, because we are only asking humans to think rationally and with heart, even if being unable to hunt foxes and shoot birds would leave the Saxe-Coburg-Gotha family with nothing else to do."

So Morrissey, someone who professes to dislike humans with (almost) as much passion as he loves animals, is 'seriously considering' standing for election as the Mayor of London, a role which surely entails representing the wishes of the people of London (unless he is expecting to be elected entirely by animals of course).
And his manifesto includes comparisons to nazi concentration camps and yet another dig at the royal family, hmm...
Yep, I can see this one going a long way.

i dont mean to be of any trouble, but pray, can someone please tell me where all the smart people are? i came looking for smart people. surely there's got to be some corner of the internet where the geniuses hang out? i know that this isnt it, dont worry. oh heavens, i wouldnt want to place any undue pressure on any of you. i was just wondering if mayhap you might know where a little rag clad bunny might look.

You are right, nobody here is as smart as you (or anywhere near as f***ing annoying).
I do mean to be rude, and I don't care whether you are a girl or not or how young you are, so why don't you just piss off.

No, there is no comparison because slaughterhouses kill billions of animals. Humans are just another animal that want to live too. What makes you better than them? This is the best thing Morrissey has EVER written.

You're the kind of person that would let a bulldog chow down on you crown jewels because they deserve to live as much as you. If you agree than you tell the truth but it sounds like a load of bollocks to me.

If you were stupid enough to let this happen then you'll be the end of the line, the end of the family line...

When I used to be smart I spent the whole weekend in bed having sex. Now I'm here. Internet is for desesperados, bunny.

You are clearly someone who doesn’t get it.

Yes, no human deserves the fate of an “animal” on the basis of them being of a different nationality / race / faith / sexual orientation.

But that’s not what he said. He turned it around and said that no animal deserves the fate of the Jew. Which is completely unacceptable.

So the animal deserves the fate of the Jew? I know exactly what he is saying. Humans, at their worst, mistreat their own species and every other species in the same manner. They make no difference. It's human practice.

I think Morrissey in this position would be very bad. I'm not sure how the London mayoral system works, but does this mean he'd be running for the actual mayoral position, like, the one what's his face Boris has? If so, yeah, not good. His views on animals aside, what else is there? He'd be a disaster if all he did was ignore everything else at the expense of animal rights. Not saying they're not important but there is a whole plethora of issues out there which would need more attention and I don't think he could come close to doing it.

The funny thing about this post is that while I end up agreeing with the likes of Benny and skinny, they are just so anti-Morrissey in every way that their views on this become dull. Like, oh wow, what a surprise they hold the views they do because they did their mashing their F5 keys looking for things to rip in to him about. It's an incredibly sad life when they're just doing the bidding of this website owners wishes to slander him at every opportunity because his website owner has a massive axe to grind. Just attack dogs for DavidT, pure and simple. But that aside, it takes away from their actual points because they will just as readily rip into Morrissey with a 3 page rant for a photo of Morrissey simply existing as they would against something like this. The word ends up carrying much less weight because it just becomes "oh look, it's another predictable Benny/Skinny anti-Morrissey rant".
I think it's far more interesting when people who aren't so obviously bias swing one way and then another depending on the issue.

Again, it calls to question why the f*** people who obviously hate everything he does spend so much time and effort on him. They're either obsessed (and unhealthily so) or they're encouraged to do so, or both. Pathetic really.

Anyways, I can't see Morrissey going through with this, he has such a promising career as an author of fiction on the horizon!

I think, as always, it's a bit early in this story to get into a fit of hysterics. There would be enough time for the usual suspects to get their teeth out if Moz really takes part in the election which I can't see myself. And even when he takes part he won't win. So I don't see anything to be mad or angry about NOW ...

I'm sure Hitler thought his reasons were very practical.

i get it moz is ethical practical too like hitler. its tough to figure out the thought process involved in being a mozbot but i think im getting the hang of it. come to think of it, if hitler, after killing 6 million, extending the war simply so he could practicallly kill more jews, is to be ethical and practical, then moz can fly that flag too, no matter the stupidity that comes out of his mouth or tty.

when the moz sect members are all in accord that hitler was a very ethical and practical figure. i think not even the kitties will vote for him in the off chance he takes a liking to the mice.

all the 'smart' (i take it you use the term as an euphemism for nazi) are probably at white supremacist rallies or,at the blue rose society blog.

Too bad the dinosaurs are extinct. We would see who will be eating whom.

bears, lions, wolves, panthers, tigers etc used to feast on humans back in the day, and still would if given the chance. take that dude who used to take care of the bears who was eventually eaten up. fish eat each other without remorse constantly. but then again, we are arguing with people who think hitler was ethical and practical.

It can be very hard to see the forest through the trees. It may help if you clarify what you think is smart and what you think is dumb. For me, smart is saying what you feel about morrissey (good and bad) and dumb is shaming people for their body size, intelligence, and for saying how they feel. I accept how you feel even though I don't agree with you. Would you do the same for me.

Hey, for the love of Morrissey, leave her alone. People have opinions, you don't need to go analyze it. Example, i hate Obamacare, but i guess my opinion didn't matter.Mandatory socialism now. Look at this, it will calm you down.

You have been a member of this site for about 5 minutes and already made enemies with about half of us. Here is news for you. Your 20 year old naivety can be excused, but your Nazi defense certainly not. You probably just discovered Nietzsche and Freud, or Rainer Maria Rilke (is that your pseudo from?) and want to show off your superiority. You are not the only one who ever read existentialists. I am correct if I say there are very smart people here, but unlike you, they are not aloof. I am sure there are plenty of lonely people sitting in a coffee shop right now who would like to hear you out.

existentialism is sooo stupid. Nietzsche wrote nothing but stupidity. here comes Zarathustra out of his cave. jesus h christ.
but i suppose moz goes for that stuff.
