Morrissey gets upset when baby seals are clubbed by Canadians as they're cute and cuddly. He's not that bothered about dolphins so that's why he plays Japan but shuns Canada. It's nothing to do with animal liberation, it's just another weird foible like not eating meat but drinking equally cruel mile and chomping on cheese. He's not exactly coherent in his rationalisations. He's basically a crank. And a fraud. A crank-fraud. It's impossible now to imagine him confessing to his decades of delusionality. He will go to the grave insisting he was a 'radical', the he changed things for the better for animals whilst everyone else just sees a failed opportunistic fame-hag who used issues like animal liberation and gay sex to liven up his incredibly boring 'personality'. I wonder if Marr will finish him off cleanly or by a thousand subtle cuts....
