A TSA spokesperson has denied any officer misconduct to Rolling Stone. "TSA takes all allegations of misconduct seriously and strives to treat every passenger with dignity and respect," Mike England says. "Upon review of closed circuit TV footage, TSA determined that the supervised officer followed standard operating procedures in the screening of this individual."

Morrissey claims sex assault by security at US airport - BBC News

He added that the arrival of a second person to screen Morrissey was normal, and helped "to ensure the passenger does not have threat items, such as explosives concealed under clothing."

San Francisco International Airport
29 July 2015

On leaving the US on 27 July I flew from San Francisco International Airport to London on flight BA 284.

At 2:30 in the afternoon I went through the usual airport security procedure including the stand-up 'scanner', and all was well - no bleeps and nothing unusual.

Before I could gather my belongings from the usual array of trays I was approached by an "airport security officer" who stopped me, crouched before me and groped my penis and testicles. He quickly moved away as an older "airport security officer" approached.

The officer who sexually assaulted me was identified as the General Manager On Duty. Luckily I was accompanied by two members of British Airways Special Services, who were horrified at the sexual attack and suggested that I lodge a complaint. I asked if there would be any point in lodging a complaint since, as with any complaint against a figure in "authority", the complaints are simply collected in order to protect the guilty officer should the matter go further. The British Airways Special Services employees assured me that a complaint was worthwhile, and so I filed the appropriate information. However, before doing so, the guilty "officer" was confronted, and the conversation went thus:

You have just sexually groped this man.
Officer: That's just your opinion.
What you have done is illegal.
Officer: That's just your opinion.
You have no right to do what you have just done.
Officer: That's just your opinion.

Apart from "that's just your opinion", he would not comment, even though, since the penis and testicles were mine and no one else's, then my opinion must surely have some meaning. But, of course, what the airport security officer was saying was: your opinion will never count in the eyes of the law. The words "that's just your opinion" volunteered themselves from this 'officer's' mouth before he had even heard the question. He knew he could be confronted, but he also knew that he could never be challenged (even though the entire incident is most certainly on CCTV camera).

In the interests of imperishable bureaucracy my submitted complaint against this 'officer' will obviously be either unread or ignored because, as we all know, on matters of officialism it is not possible to be pleasantly surprised by anything at all. However, what is clear is that, should you find yourself traveling through San Francisco International Airport, you should expect sexual abuse from the so-called 'security officers' who, we are unconvincingly warned, are acting only for our security.

Do people have minds?

I'm scared to think of some of the replies to this. Even if it is a bit unusual, sexual assault should be treated seriously and when someone says they were assaulted they should be taken seriously. Sexual assault doesn't discriminate, it can happen to anyone from the homeless to a high profile singer.
I'm sure some sad f***s on this site will somehow have a problem with Morrissey saying this or God knows what other stuff they'll come up with because they are constantly, permanently in anti-Morrissey mode.

I hope Morrissey does follow through and follow up on his complaint, he does have a point though in that so often, no matter how serious the complaint, it is often swept under the rug to avoid the fuss. I had a friend sexually assaulted by his Doctor and he complained and it went nowhere. Likewise a friend who was assaulted at uni by another student, likewise, it went nowhere. And not from lack of trying for either to follow up on it. Both were male and both basically had their claims laughed at/brushed aside. It's sick.
Haha this is brilliant!

"Seeing as the penis and testicles were mine..." is the best thing ever to have been uttered out of Morrissey's mouth.

Oh this gonna be good.
I know it isn't funny when people's penises and testicles are groped by some stranger BUT I laughed so hard at Moz' account. I couldn't stop.
Meat and veg is murder in this case !

Never a boring moment in the World of Morrissey.

Officer's rote response is bullshit.
In Japan criminals usually admit what they were doing (though it does usually come after up to 21 days of unmonitored interrogation).
It would go something like "I wanted to tell other people I touched Morrissey's genitals."

Odds on a CCTV frame capture and big headline on one of the UK tabloids? Pretty high.
This is complete Bull Ox! Morrissey would never be in California. He would be in in Swizzer Land for tax breaks living with his roommates Jake and Damon.

I didn't know he flew from SFO-London, I always thought it was San Diego-London. He never flies out of LA to go to Ungland to confuse the stalkers and Brit paparazzi. Have to say though...He was in San Francisco. What did he expect? I'm sure Nancy is furious and will use her Dad's old Mafia ties to take care of this.

"The Penis And Testicles Were Mine"

New Morrissey record - January 2016
At last. An issue that is current, urgent and demands public uproar. We have faced similar invasions of our Personal Space whilst navigating the paranoia that is 'security' and the 'terrorist threat' as we traversed airspace from Ireland to Denmark to Iceland & back to Holland and Santorini.

If a 'civilian' complains about these intrusions they face an even worse ordeal than Morrissey, who was shielded and protected by special security provided for vulnerable public figures such as media click-bait feed pop stars and soap opera drones.

What screening do these airport Jobsworths in their 'smelly uniforms' receive before they are allowed to molest random passengers? And, crucially, what is the lower age limit of travellers they are allowed to target? Rest assured, paedo-ephebo-hebophiles are operating under this cloak of a 'smelly uniform'. Morrissey is right to highlight this, correct in filing an official complaint and we hope he will use his 'celebrity status' to act as advocate on behalf of all travellers, especially the vulnerable teenagers we have seen subjected to leering and groping by both male and female 'security'.

Morrissey is able to complain as he is shielded by Fame. If any mere civilian does, they face concocted charges of being 'difficult, resisting security screening' and blacklisting for future travel.

Given the absurd fantasy technologies of screening and retina scanning only cause the conditions of delays, disorder and chaos that a terrorist seeks, it is only a matter of time before a terrorist detonates a bomb whilst dressed in a 'smelly uniform'. If the 'forces of containment' cannot even screen out sexual opportunists in the job line, then nobody should imagine they are safe whilst flying. It is just another level of The Panopticon which now is merging online and offline surveillance, intrusion and abuse. We are slowly being acclimatised to accept that a sub-species of uniformed whores can bark "Papers!" at us, at traffic lights, in airports, at gigs where we are treated like cattle and branded with wristbands before being herded in to be fleeced and abused. Etc.

This is how Fascism begins. For once, Morrissey has hit the nail on the head. "If you tolerate this, then your children will be next". The world is full of uniformed crypto-fascist bores.

Maybe the officer wanted to know if Moz had a gun in his trousers or was just happy to see him.
