Truly Divine Music

My final choice, i'm surprised i've never heard this on one of Morrissey's pre gig tapes...perhaps it passed him by.
Amazing to think Tammy St. John was only 14 when she recorded this.

Hello Charlie~
And just what do you mean final choice, Charlie?!

It has been a good thread with some great variations on here. Hope it doesn't die out anytime soon.

my favorite piece evar. Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini var. #18 by RACHMANINOFF

Prelude in C# minor by him is also the shiiiiiiz

and how bout some Beethoven. the lesser known and infinitely more difficult to play 3rd movement of his "Moonlight Sonata"

Ah some great choices up there.
My latest one is the very beautiful 'Summer 78' by Yan Tierson from his score to the film 'Good bye Lenin'.

What does "truly divine" mean ?

Wagner's "Parsifal"

Fauré's Requiem

Any number of works by Olivier Messiaen

Ditto Arvo Part

Philip Glass

Where shall I stop?

Strings, strings, strings, whether grand or simple, like in this case,
British Sea Power's 'The Land Beyond'

I love the idea of a mixtape of this thread...
