1 "on heady books she'd sit and prophesise, it took a tattooed boy form Birkenhead to really, really open her eyes"

2 "I could have been wild and I could have been free, but nature played this trick on me"

3 "it's so easy to laugh it's so easy to hate, it takes strength to be gentle and kind"

4 "Even I, as sick as I am, I would never be you... I sick and depraved - a traveller to the grave"

5 "I've had enough, I've had more than could be my rightful share... of nights I can't bear"

It's not just about the words, it about how he sings them too!

I couldn't agree more. When I first heard the following lines, i was immediately struck by the pathos & poignancy contained within the darkly comic lyrics.

1. "ooh my word, upon my soul, look at the size of that sausage roll!"

2. "gather ye rosebuds while ye may, shut that door, what a gay day"

3. "hark at her!, the dirty bitch, she makes me sick the evil witch"

4. "I'll take it now if you've got the time, I won't be a sec, just finish this rhyme"

5. "nudge nudge wink wink, you know what i'm like when i've had a drink"

Lyrical genius not seen since Benny Hill topped the charts with his 1971 classic, Ernie(The Fastest Milkman In The West).

It's a pity you havent paid attention to No.3, you arsehole.

It's a pity "Broken"/"Hectorr" dosen't pay attention to his Number 3 choice, the arsehole.

The line from I know its over is indeed a beauty- perhaps the definitive moz lyric. Got me thinking about some other crackers.. each capable of jerking a tear. (Well.. not so much the last one)

- so in my bedroom in those ugly new houses/i danced my legs down to the knees

-I'm disputing the bill / I will sleep in my clothes

- Your leg came to rest against mine / then you lounged with knees up and apart
And me and my heart - we knew, we just knew.... forevermore

- And you can tell I have never really loved
You can tell by the way I sleep all day

-Leather elbows on a tweed coat - is that the best you can do?

the first one breaks my heart every time - little passionate teenage moz, in his room misunderstood and on his own. I cant bear it - am welling up as we speak...

I don't recognise these lyrics, where are they from?

He's made them up.
Very funny though, don't you think?
