Yes, the Av nots...this is true...but it will be remedied. The only thing that will make it interesting is if DA plays phenomenol. I'm sure the Av's will grab someone by the trading deadline. There will be some big names available like always. The Av's always seem to have loads of young talent available for trade...unlike that geriatric center over in Detroit.

The really interesting thing is the 3 best teams in the west all have unproven coaches. Tippet in Dallas, Granato in Colorado, and Scotty's protoge in Detroit. Will these three teams have early exits again in the playoffs and leave the cup for the....Sens? or philly? (haha hi LGD&C)

It seems I will have to sit through another year of the IR Kings. Hopefully the LA Kings can play soon. I'll say hi to Sergei for you down in Anaheim.

I like barry,but he talks out of his ass too much( a trait that many here have grown accustomed to doing). George,that 'geriatric center" also has 1 more ring than sakic,has been captain longer than anyone in the history of the game for their team,and is still one helluva good player. 21 seasons with the same team and he's still going to play on arguably one of the greatest teams ever????? That deserves HOF creds right there. I feel you though,as big of stevie franchise fan as i am,he needs to retire this season. make way for guys like holmstrom and the like.

Im not worried about dave lewis,true hes unproven,but he's better for the youngsters(do we have any still?? hahaha),seriously,that was something that drove the younger guys crazy with scotty,he just wasnt keen on playing them. I like lewis,we'll have to wait and see what happens. Dont be surprised though if the hoist LORD STANLEY in detroit for a 4th time in 8 years.

The kings will be fine eventually,I still say melrose should be coaching them. Their problem has always been injuries and never hoilding onto guys that are FA at the end of the year,your team will be fine my friend.I went through the same with the wings for what seemed like an eternity.

LOL, Of course, but at the home opener I am going to wear my SC shirt. I am going to wear my Stevens jersey if Morrissey plays MSG. I always wear that when I go to the Garden.
