This person on Youtube specialises in splitting tracks out of songs - I came across them while looking into The Clash's Safe European Home. They've done a pretty good job of splitting out the lead guitar, vocals, bass, drums and additional guitars from This Charming Man. Here's the lead guitar - other tracks can be accessed by the menu on the right.

Edit - in fact - I imagine you could reassemble the non vocal tracks to get a great Karaoke track. Hmmm. I'll give that a go when I come back later.

I think that TCM was split into individual tracks earlier this year by a forum member (dirty rephlex - thanks) .... http://www.morrissey-solo.com/threads/113480-If-you-ve-downloaded-this-before-stop-me The TCM files were on page 5 - no idea if they are still available to download.

Using Audacity it is easy to play about with the files - no vocal, vocal only, just Johnny... there's aeven a Ska version on the threads.

Bugger - I missed all of that - even the Ska one, which I'd like to hear.

I have the split tracks (on another machine to the one I'm currently using) and happy to share if the links in the original head aren't working anymore
