When I was little, about eight I think, someone gave me
a little cardboard fold out picture of the shroud.
Being a believer back then, I thought it was pretty cool.
Unfortunately I don't have it now, or any other religious relics
and whether the original shroud was authentic or not,
I can't figure.
It looks like a man of that day and could be of anyone I guess.....
But as I started the thread surely I too should get a bit of the twix?
(I really enjoyed the programme...but as usual it threw up more questions than answers...my head tells me its a fake...my heart says its genuine..whatever is a very lapsed Catholic to do?)
In Isaiah, it is prophesied that Jesus would be beaten and crucified. It says Jesus would be beaten and disfigured so badly that he would not be recognizable.
The face on the shroud is clearly recognizable.
Also, if God wanted people to worship Jesus, would he leave remnants about that would distract people from Jesus' deity, so that they would revere the remnants and artifacts rather than the Saviour Himself?
