we have mincemeat here too, lolIf you're referring to the top picture, it is indeed a 'pie'...a mince pie. It's a traditional Christmas item here in the UK, & rarely (if ever) seen outside of Christmas. It contains 'mincemeat' which is a little bit of a misnomer as it doesn't contain 'meat' at all. The contents vary, but generally consist of a fresh & dry fruit mixture (in some cases crushed nuts are added), orange/lemon zest, & brandy. They can be eaten on their own (hot or cold), or served with custard as a dessert. They're really nice with a cup of coffee, or glass of sherry.
I love it!!!!! and it's perfect for me because I'm a bunny! !!! Gimmeeeeeeeee!!!!Pretty sure Ket is laughin' out of happiness for the fruit cake.
It's one of the healthiest things ya can get a hold of.
