Lack of new ideas? Nostalgia? Money? Familiarity? All of the above? Why are Blur back together? Or Pulp? Most bands reform eventually.
I feel like he had a point to prove/score to settle. Suede had pretty much been written out of history by the mid 00s. And their later albums like "Head Music" and "A New Morning" weren't all that great. I think it was about reminding the world of who they were and what they were capable of. I think the reunion albums have been pretty good, though not a patch on the Bernard Butler-era stuff admittedly. And they're a GREAT live act these days (saw them in Bristol earlier this year)That's fair and I agree but so then why reform the band?

Yes, and Oasis could follow soon.
It’s nice for the fans I suppose, for nostalgia reasons, but it adds little to nothing to the legacy of a band.
True, apart from their first two album all their albums have been UK number 1’s.
Quite incredible really, like you say, how they have managed to stay so popular for so long.

They were in Amsterdam last week, too.
Venue was half empty, reviews were not very good.
Obviously more of a UK/Ireland phenomenon than anywhere else. I do quite like the new single though.
Damon sang poorly and the band weren’t tight either, they said.
Hope they improve soon, before Wembley.
So basically he’s a straight guy who is insufficiently amused by gay people. That’s a pretty hot take. This reminds me of that Whit Stillman movie, Damsels in Distress. I tend not to like his movies, but he does write some good dialogue.
