But Lennon

Don't you think that's a bit harsh?? Yes he was a heroin addict for a while, but drugs are a completely different subject.... I truely believe that can happen to anyone, especially within the frame of constant temptation in the music business. It says nothing about a character - besides, he fought it and won.
And as far as the love and peace rubbish is concerned - again I say look at it within the context! Of course it seems pretty lame from our point of view, but remember we're talking 60ies, everyone was doing it and it WAS pretty rebelious. I mean I don't think any rock star of today would cause such an outrage just by lying in bed or growing his hair.
And
> How about his annoing voice, and his poor performances?
He had the most gorgeous metally screatching voice and was one of the most expressionist singers of all time, some bits make your toenails curl up if you listen to them closely!! And he was a bloody fantastic performer, probably one of the most charismatic of all times..... I'm not talking Shea Stadium where you could hardly hear a thing, I'm talking that noone who ever saw them at the Star Club will ever forget them. I live in Hamburg, so believe me I've met a few who saw them...
Well,
> and I will not mention Yoko, cause it's waste of time. ...
Oh no, don't mention the ugly snail, for once I'm with you...But for some reason only he knew he loved her and it's not our business to debate why or how he could.

Well, appearantly he didn't think he was good enough himself since he got his mate Eric Clapton to play the solo in the above song... Besides, if you're so anti-drugs - George was the first one of the lads who started passing LSD around...
Besides, if I have to
> listen to them, I prefer listening to the silly Ringo singing...
> "Now it's time to say good night... Good night... Sleep
> tight"...
Hm well, yeah, sweet voice but not very memorable, that's the problem.
Of course Morrissey is better than Lennon (I'm
> talking about the lyrics)...
Noone EVER denied that, surely not me.....
