Hi, my boyfriend has given me some of his old records to sell as we are expecting a baby and want to raise extra cash. There's one I can't find any info on: a white label Smiths 12" called "Irene's". On the run-out groove is written "Rough 61-A1" (makes more sense that this would be Rough B1-A1, but it definitely looks like a 6. However, it's handwritten so maybe it was easier to fashion a 6...vinyl's tricky to write on, isn't it? They're my thoughts anyway!) I think this sheet may be meant to go with it:

    The text says:
    Reel Around the Fountain
    You've Got Everything Now
    Miserable Lie
    Pretty Girls Make Graves
The Hand That Rocks the Cradle
    Still Ill
    Hand in Glove
    What Difference Does it Make
    I Don't Owe You Anything
    Suffer Little Children

    Any help would be great!

It is the Smiths self titled white label promo. That is the sheet that goes with it.
    I just bought one myself.

Okay, so were they thinking of calling it Irene's or something? I'm confused! It's just that I want to put it on Ebay so I'm unsure what to write in the ad title. So, I've read elsewhere on the forum that the self titled promo would go for £10-£30, is that right?

Irene has nothing to do with it. It was probably intended for someone or some place called 'Irene's'.

So it should say "Irene's - keep your sticky little fingers off!"

Boy from liverpool, chill out. It's just a record that says Irene's, it's about 20 years old.
