Great photos and a very nicely written retrospective. What is The Rake? It looks like a GQ or Esquire type of thing (deliver us from masculinity), but the writing has some good flourishes. I especially liked "he resembled a defrocked priest or film-noir anti-hero" and "equal parts Jean-Luc Godard, Bernard-Henri Lévy, and whichever guy it was who directed Cannibal Holocaust."
