The Queen Is Dead (Album) Demos

I was looking on Passions at the lyrics to There Is A Light and read this at the bottom of the page:
Additional note:
In early demos of the song, Morrissey sang that chorus line as "There's a light in your eye and it never goes out".

I had a look at some other TQID tracks to find other notes about "earlier versions" with lyrical variations.

Are these demos available on the net?

In a word.
No.
Mike Joyce has tapes of all of these demos (Frankly Mr Shankly with a trombone in it! etc). He offered them to the record company years ago and they were not interested, prefering to re-release another singles album in a different package, therefore he cannot do anything with them as Morrissey / Marr, who own the copyright, would know where they came from.
It is hoped that these would appear on the much touted 'box set' that never seems to appear.

What Mike Joyce had were actually works-in-progress that were dropped halfway into completion and stuff like A Matter Of Opinion. Those QID demos you are talking about are already in the hands of the record company (and a few discrete fans who visit here), he didn't have to offer them. If the record company doesn't release them, it's not because they don't want to. They've been meaning to put out something for years and if it's not happening, it's not because of they don't want to.
