On the way to the Midsommar party, we stopped at an Amish baked goods stand. I bought a bunch of strawberries. I’m making lots of jam in the next couple of days. They look and taste just perfect. So much more flavor than what’s sold in the stores.
Hey TAT your boys and girls took a helluva beating in Lausanne eralier failing to secure the 2026 winter olympics losing to Italy.

What a great day for anti establishment swedes as the socialist bastards lost and missed out on a great chance for propaganda.

So traditionally swedish I had to throw up and I never celebrate any swedish traditions cause I don't feel particularly swedish so the demise of Sweden as such doesn't bother me one bit.

I never could understand swedes gathering and doing all that but since you try and keep the heritage going I guess it is ok.

My dad always claimed the swedish flag is red from nazi blood and it of course is if you look close enough.
What was all the business last week about going to Ikea to stock up on Swedish Fish it whatever? It’s hard to keep up with your moods.

I noticed a wrinkle on the forehead plus sweaty unwashed hair so forget my goddess comment. I will focus on those ankles.
Hardly. I wash my hair every day without exception. I’ve never used filler or Botox so I’m sure there are wrinkles on my forehead sometimes when I’m smiling. I can live with that.

While searching for my Anthony Bourdain pics for Reality Bites I came across a bunch of pics from when I last visited Greenfield Village. It’s a living, open air museum where historical buildings have been moved there and a traditional village set up. At any rate, these pics I really like from Thomas Edison’s laboratory. I’m a sucker for colored glass and the shelves in his lab really did it for me. The moody lighting, too. I spent an hour there just taking pictures. Here’s a couple I rather like.

So does Pilla and so did I before I started to shave it and with no hair you can shower as much as you want and be done in the blink of an eye.

Bye miss wrinkle forehead, is that your worry wrinkle from never getting laid?

We never went and I never eat swedish fish unless it is real fish on a plate and that is not about celebrating midsummer. It's just another weekend really.

I don't think you need to over manifest things when you are secure in your nationality, that is for those that hang onto a culture all they can cause maybe their race and genes doesn't match the country one bit.

I think Moz would have put it that way, he takes all his inspiration from me these days and if some here took note more they would see that.

Ankles to die for
forehead of worries
when she was young she was cute
now her hips are wide as a mile

Baby birth
you have baby birth hips
slipping out into this world
effortless

Dark hair swedes
midsummer blues
old men with beards
dancing round the maypole in June

Sweden for the swedish
americans are nomads
thrown out of countries
that never needed them

Now you want to return
but your gas price is lower
there's food in your drawer
and fat is what you need

My garden is flourishing with all the rain and hot weather we’re having. Was thrilled to discover an orphaned hollyhock grow up on the path just outside my plot. And this one’s a beauty!

From Lost Lagoon in Stanley park today:

Raccoons are nocturnal. When you see one in the daytime, especially one that looks like this one did, they are likely quite sick and possibly rabid. I came across a baby one out in the afternoon once and called an animal welfare group and I was advised to stay away from it.

Looks like a beautiful park. You’re lucky to be able to visit it so often.

the sorta disorganized allied army of fiddlenecks and camomiles in a surprise attack was able to push through the middle of the grain phalanx, their green-leafed victory plant held high for everyone to see. this was the beginning of the end of the empire of crops, an era of beauty and anarchy from now on would supersede the two-thousand-year-old crop reich of monotonous utilitarianism.

No one is interested Hitler Mädchen!

The mad swede Urbanus went chav for you ladies tonight.

if there is something that makes my modest gardener's heart beat faster and glow proudly, then it's my two wonderful and healthy blueberry shrubs.

despite the rainy weather in may, it already looks like a super blueberry harvest this year.
the bumblebees did a great job (i gave account earlier in spring), and so did i.

blueberries need sour soil, swamp dwellers that they are, but as i boycott peat soil, i had to find other, time and work intensive, ways of providing the perfect conditions.

the result of all the hard labour is overwhelming, oh thank you dear lord.

they taste delicious, i tell ya. i already consumed at least half a kilo this evening, and couldnt stop consumin'.

expectations are up to roundabout 8 kilos of blueberries this year.
I had blueberries today too, from Abbotsford BC. They were on sale at Queen Elizabeth park and a friend bought some.
