Morrissey bitching about the NME....just a B side!

Starved Of Mirth
This song wouldn't be so awful if it didn't have that "air being released from balloon" sound going through it. I can't imagine what the producer was thinking (can't remember who produced it offhand - was it Langer/Winstanley or Street?) putting that ghastly sound on the record. Even without that sound it wouldn't rate very highly - maybe a 6 - but with it, I give it a 4.

Not Dead Yet
I voted six, But I should change it to 5...

Probably my least favorite of the Pre-Millennia B-sides...

Although I have expressed my thoughts on You Must Please Remember before...

Lust a prima vista
I like this song a lot.

There are a few lyrics that I really like.

"Journalists who lie are stealing their money"

"Prospering with spite, hate-in-a-hurry"

"So sick and belaboured, they only want to be favoured"

"Praise then crucify, just follow this pattern"

I remember quite liking it when it came out. Seemed an apt response to the (disproportionate) criticism he was receiving at the time.
I quite like the delivery.
Yes, the music is repetitive, but that rather helps to drive the point home.
6,5 from me, so I'll give it 7 :)

Belligerent Ghoul
i'd give 4 for the music, 7.5 for vocals and subject matter, so a generous 6.5 overall. i think with better music, this could be a really good song.

as it is, not so much.
