Pure audio torture.....No wonder they both disowned it....

Although, I can bet the Frinkers think quite highly of it!

I gave it a 7 plus a bonus point for using the string section from the seminal My Life Story, one of the greatest pop groups in the whole of Western Europe!
Boz is fairly good mates with Jake Shillingford from MLS and there was a rumour doing the rounds that Boz was recently gonna give Jake an unused song from the 'Vauxhall and I' sessions which actually sounded like an orchestral My Life Story song...
The Golden Mile is one of my own, all-time, personal favourite albums of all time!

This song is absolutely beautiful, both vocally and musically. I never get tired of listening to it - I can put it on "repeat" all day long and be quite blissful. I think that Morrissey's vocal is better than Siouxsie's but considering the fact that they recorded their vocals separately, I think they mesh quite well. This is one of the best cover versions that Morrissey has ever recorded. Simply gorgeous: 10.

I really like this song. In fact I like the version without souixie more that the one with her.
I am forced to agree...Ann Coates would have provided a better duet

It's one of his most beautiful songs. It should have a 10, but I can't hear it without crying, so it has to be a 9 for me.
Do you know where I can hear the version with Morrissey only? Thanks

There's a version without Siouxsie??? I thought there was just the regular duet version and an instrumental version. Where have I been??? Point me to this Moz-only version, please!

It's not officially released, but thanks to mysterious Mr Reynolds who uploaded demos and unreleased tracks. :)

What makes this special:

1) Moz does a duet

2) Moz does a duet with a punk icon

3)Moz does a duet with a female punk icon

4)Moz does a duet with female punk icon, Siouxie Sioux

5)Moz does a duet with female punk icon, Siouxie Sioux accompanied by an exquisite string section

6)Moz does a duet with female punk icon, Siouxie Sioux accompanied by an exquisite string section in an homage to the great Timi Yuro
